Prairie are invited to attend a public hearing about a proposal for an adoption of an amendment to the City Code Chapter 11, section 11.70 Accessory Structure” is hereby amended by adding the words “sculptures and statuary,” to the second sentence after the words “water oriented accessory structures,”
and City Code Chapter 11, Section 11.70, Subd. 2, 35. “Sign” is hereby amended by deleting the word “statuary”.

meeting will be held by the City of Eden Prairie at the City Water Treatment Plant, 14100 Technology Drive, Eden Prairie, MN, at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 28, 2013. The meeting will be held in the second floor conference room and will consist of an open forum, review and discussion of the plan details. A public information meeting is required to take place within 60 days of the City’s Wellhead Protection Plan approval notice from the Minnesota Department of Health and provide the public an opportunity to review the plan and comment on the proposed changes. The purpose of the plan is to ensure the public water supplier is taking adequate precautions to protect its drinking water source from potential contamination.
The City will initiate the second phase of the Wellhead Protection Plan development (commonly referred to as Part II Planning activities) in the spring of 2014. Fall Writing Touris Saturday
“Wilderness in the City: Fall Writing Tour, Impressions of the Trail” with Loft Literary Center teaching artist Marge Barrett comes to Eden Prairie from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 5.

PROP Shop seeks children’s clothing
The PROP Shop family services room requests donations of chil-dren’s clothing sizes 2T to 5T!
The PROP Shop is a nonprofit re-sale store, which sells new and gently used items to everyone in the community. It depends entirely on donations of furniture, clothing and housewares. The PROP Shop also offers a separate Family Ser-vice Center, which provides cloth-ing, housewares and furniture to referred families and individuals in need.
The PROP Shop is at 15195 Martin Drive in Eden Prairie. Store hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday to Thursday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday. Donations are accepted Tuesdays through Sundays during open hours.

Fare for Allreturns Oct. 8
The Fare for All program brings affordable and nutritious grocery items to Eden Prairie United Meth-odist Church each month. Everyone in the community can purchase the meats, vegetables and fruits avail-able at about 40 percent below retail.
The next time groceries will be available is from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Tues-day, Oct. 8. The church is at 15050 Scenic Heights Road, Eden Prairie.
The Emergency Food Network’s cooperative food purchasing pro-gram has no income requirements. And the more people who use it, the lower the costs can go. So when more people use it, it is even more beneficial for those who need food from the Emergency Food Network.

The 2013 Eden Prairie Lioness Club Art and Craft Fair is accepting applications for vendors.
The event is set for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, at Grace Church, 9301 Eden Prairie Road.
