YouTube is one of the most commonly used ICT devices this day. YouTube belongs to software ICT devices. This ICT device contains online learning videos, tutorial videos, movies, educational videos, blogs, and many more.

YouTube was chosen for review cum critique because it is commonly used but people do not utilize its great potential for learning. YouTube helps the people by giving access to videos that is being shared in the website. It provides access to tutorial videos, “how – to” videos, educational videos, and demo videos that can be used for alternative learning.

Many people argue about the availability of some videos in the YouTube. Some complains of people are availability of a full movie on YouTube whereas they spent money just to watch it. People also criticise the inappropriate videos that was uploaded. Age restriction should also be monitored well by the YouTube.

YouTube can be a great factor for development if properly used. According to Glen Laoyan, a BEE student in BSU, YouTube help him in his passion on music whereas he can watch tutorials videos for free. One factor of development is money. Many people cannot afford education but YouTube can provide them access to online learning, how – to videos, tutorial videos and many more. These videos can help the people in their passion or profession by giving them alternative learning system.YouTube is a great help in our society but it also has advantages and disadvantages to the people.

YouTube can literally show anything to the users. It is a great tool for learning but there are no limits within YouTube. People can just upload inappropriate videos without restrictions. They should at least monitor videos that are being uploaded because a lot of kids uses YouTube now a days.
