افتتح نائب الرئي�س التنفيذي لم�ضفاة ميناء االأحمدي فهد الديحاني، مركز

- المرحلة الثالثة: اإتمام نقل العاملين في MAA-FUP / MAA-RMP من غرف التحكم المحلية اإلى مركز تحكم الم�ضفاة الإدارة الوحدات القائمة.

في اإطار ا�ضتكمال افتتاح محطات تعبئة الوقود الجديدة الـ 18 في المدن الت�ضويق دائرة افتتحت الكويت، وجنوب ب�ضمال الجديدة، ال�ضكنية

المحلي المحطة رقم 137 بمنطقة �ضمال غرب ال�ضليبيخات.

منها في مدينة جابر 4 8 محطات، اأ�ضل من الثانية المحطة هي وهذه �ضعدالعبداهلل، مدينة في ومحطتان منها، واحدة افتتاح تم االأحمد،

ومحطة في �ضمال غرب ال�ضليبيخات، واأخرى في مزارع العبدلي.

توفير �ضرورة على م�ضددًا �ضيئة، عادة التدخين اأن اإلى الدعيج واأ�ضار

وال�ضركة المحلي، الت�ضويق دائرة في للعاملين الطبية الخدمات العيادة وتقدم

الكويتية لتزويد الطائرات بالوقود "كافكو"، وتتمثل هذه الخدمات في الطوارئ التعيين، قبل كالفح�س المهنية، ال�ضحة وخدمات االأولية، والرعاية الطبية

والفح�س الدوري، وفح�س نهاية الخدمة.

الخامسة من نوعها

نفذت دائرة الت�ضويق المحلي بالتن�ضيق مع كتيبة حماية المن�ضاآت الرابعة في الحر�س الوطني، تمرينا على عملية اإخالء �ضاملة في م�ضتودع �ضبحان،

وذلك في اإطار خطة الطوارئ المتبعة في ال�ضركة.

224 ت�ضمن �ضيناريو العملية الوهمية حدوث حريق في خزان الوقود رقم فريق وا�ضتدعاء )CAT-I( الحالة تفعيل تطلب الذي االأمر بالم�ضتودع، واإبالغ والبيئة، وال�ضيانة وال�ضالمة االأمن وفرق لل�ضركة، التابع االإطفاء بوزارة الطبية الطوارئ وفريق الداخلية، ووزارة لالإطفاء، العامة االإدارة

ال�ضحة.

اإلى الطوارئ حالة رفع تم 224 الخزان �ضطح اإلى الحريق امتد وعندما )CAT-II(، ثم ما لبث اأن امتد اإلى الخزان رقم 231 المجاور فتم رفع الحالة اإطالق اأعقبها العاملين، باأنها االأخطر على الم�ضنفة اإلى )CAT-III(، وهي

�ضفارة االإخالء ال�ضامل.

وفي المحلي، الت�ضويق دائرة في العاملين جميع اإخالء تم لذلك ونتيجة اإطفائي واإ�ضعاف �ضخ�س، 300 عددهم والبالغ التابعة، والمن�ضاآت المباني

م�ضاب، قبل االإعالن عن ال�ضيطرة الكاملة على حريق الخزانين.

الطوارئ عمليات مركز في اجتماع عقد تم بنجاح، التمرين اإنجاز وبعد برئا�ضة مدير دائرة الت�ضويق المحلي بالوكالة ثامر النفي�ضي، جرى خالله في �ضلبيات اأية تالفي بهدف الم�ضاركين، ومقترحات لمالحظات اال�ضتماع

التمرينات المقبلة.

A New Clinic in Sabhan Depot Opened

In the presence of DCEO for Support Services Abdulaziz Al-Duaij, DCEO for Fuel Supply Operations Ghanem Al-Otaibi, the Medical Team of HSE Department opened a new clinic in Subhan Depot - Local Marketing Department, to become the fifth clinic besides the clinics of the Head Office, MAA and MAB as well as Shuaiba Depot.

The Clinic provides medical services to the employees of the LM Department and "KAFCO". The services include medical emergencies and primary care, occupational health services such as pre-appointment, periodic, and end-of-service examinations.

Mock Comprehensive Evacuation in Subhan DepotAs part of the procedures followed in response to the effective emergency plan and in collaboration with the Fourth Facilities Protection Battalion in the National Guard, LM Department implemented a comprehensive fake evacuation in Subhan Depot.

In the scenario details, a fire broke out in the Tank No. 224 at the Depot, which required application of the case (CAT-I) and summoning the company’s fire brigade, teams of security, safety, maintenance, and environmental, and contacted Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) of the Ministry of Interior as well as the medical emergency team at the Ministry of Health.

When the fire spread to the roof of Tank No. 224, the state of emergency was raised up to (CAT-II), and soon it extended to the neighboring Tank No. 231. Accordingly, the case was raised up to (CAT-III), being the most dangerous to workers, followed by operating the comprehensive evacuation whistle.

As a result, all 300 employees working for LM Department and in the affiliated buildings and facilities as well as an injured firefighter were evacuated to the assembly point before declaring full control of the two tanks’ fire.

After the successful completion of the exercise, a meeting was held at the Emergency Operations Center chaired by the Acting Manager of LMD Thamer Al-Nafisi, during which participants ’comments and suggestions were entertained with the aim of avoiding any mishaps in the forthcoming exercises.

The exercise was coordinated by Team Leader - Fire and Security at the LM Department and the Head Office Mohammed Al-Ghashem.

Smoking Conditions and Regulations in Public PlacesIndustrial Hygiene Section of HSE Department hosted an awareness session about the smoking conditions and regulations in public places, delivered by the Manager of The Department of Inspection and Environmental Control at the Environment Public Authority Dalal Al-Najjar, in the company's H. O. Auditorium.

DCEO for Support Services Abdulaziz Al-Duaij opened the lecture with a speech in which he emphasized that smoking risks have become an essential part of KNPC efforts to provide a healthy work environment free of dangers.

Al-Duaij stated that smoking is a bad habit, stressing the need to provide a safe environment to protect non-smokers from the passive smoking effects, by providing special rooms for smokers in workplaces and public places.

Al-Najjar reviewed in detail the regulations pertaining to Article 56 of the Environmental Protection Law, and made it clear that these regulations absolutely prohibit promoting and/or advertising of cigarettes, tobacco products, derivatives and accessories in the State of Kuwait, and all parties must take all measures to prevent smoking in these places in a manner that ensures prevention of harm to others.

A Lecture about Envisaging the Ground-Level Pollutants In collaboration with the Technical Services Department at MAB, the Department of Training and Career Development, organized an awareness session on predicting the concentration of ground-level pollution resulting from refineries above the earth’s surface.

The lecture was given by a Process Senior Engineer of Technical Services Department Dr. Salwa Al-Enezi, who reviewed the mathematical model for measuring air pollution in their movement from their source, and the extent of their dispersion in the air until they reach the ground level.

The attendees showed an interest in the topic of the lecture, as it relates to public hygiene and the quality of the surrounding environment.

KPC Organizes 4th "EMTAZ" CarnivalIn collaboration with Kuwait Oil Company, KPC organized the fourth EMTAZ Carnival in Al-Durrah Hall at Al-Ahmadi Park, where discounts for KPC and subsidiaries employees were offered.

In this regard, CCD Manager Kholoud Al-Mutairi said that this carnival brings together and, under one roof, a group of leading companies in various fields in order to provide special discounts to about 20 thousand employees working for KPC and subsidiaries.

She pointed out that the idea of EMTAZ website was launched in appreciation of the Corporate Communication circles in KPC and subsidiaries, due to the substantial work carried out by the employees in this sector. Based on that, we should provide them with special discounts in all fields.

For his part, Director of the PR Department at KPC Jamal Al-Sanousi added that the number of companies offering discounts to our employees exceeds 300 companies, and he promised to expand these services to include up to 100,000 employees and contractors together with their families.

"Corporate Planning" Reviews 2040 Strategic UpdatesWith the purpose of keeping pace with the changes and facing future challenges imposed by the requirements of the global oil industry, Corporate Planning Department held an induction meeting for KNPC employees about the update that took place to the company's 2040 strategy.

Strategic Planning Engineer Abdullah Al-Kandari made a presentation on the main features of the strategy, and the amendments made thereto pertaining to the future overall refining capacity which will reach 1.6 MMBPD in 2040, in line with the strategic directions of KPC.

Fuel Station No. 137 Northwest Sulaibikhat OpenedAs part of opening 18 new filling stations in the new residential cities, north and south of Kuwait, the Local Marketing Department opened Station No. 137 Northwest Sulaibikhat.

This Station is the second of 8 stations, 4 of which are in the city of Jaber Al-Ahmad, one of which has been opened, two stations are in the city of Saad Al-Abdullah, and one is northwest Sulaibikhat, and another one is in Abdali farms.

North Kuwait Project Manager Hmoud Al-Khulaifi said that the Northwest Sulaibikhat Station was supplied with basic fuel products, besides kerosene.

These stations are carried out according to the latest modern designs, and they are furnished with a renewable energy system (solar panels) that provides around 30% of the station's electricity consumption. They are also furnished with a special system to recover gasoline vapors, which works to reduce the emission of gases and vapors while filling cars with fuel, and return them to the filling tank.

The new stations contain a minimarket, a car maintenance center, an ATM service, a prayer room, water and air filling points, and the latest payment systems using innovative and multiple methods.

Legal Department Introduces An awareness SessionIn collaboration with Kuwait Aviation Fueling Company "KAFCO", the Corporate Legal Department presented an awareness lecture titled "Legal Regulation of Information Confidentiality" in “KAFCO” H. O. Auditorium.

Department Manager Issam Al-Murjan opened the session with a speech in which he thanked “KAFCO” management for allowing the department to achieve one of its most important goals, i.e. to publish legal information, simplify it for oil sector employees and contribute to raising the legal awareness in the workplace.

The lecture was presented by Advisor Badria Ashkanani and Advisor Dr. Ayman Abdel-Malaak, and attended by a number of "KAFCO" employees.

KNPC Operates Low Sulfur Diesel Unit 144 at MAA

Information Technology Presentations

The Low Sulfur Diesel Production Unit 144 at MAA, a part of CFP, was successfully operated and commenced producing low sulfur diesel as planned.

This Unit was built according to the latest international specifications, with a production capacity reaching to about 45 thousand barrels of diesel per day. This Unit is one of the most important units of the project, due to its high profitability and the quality of its low-sulfur product, which is estimated at only ten parts per million (10 PPM), which is in line with the standards and requirements of the global market.

The Unit will contribute to enhancing KNPC capabilities and enable it to keep pace with the increasing demand for diesel. This Unit is located among a group of operational units in Area 3 of Mina Al-Ahmadi Refinery.

Talent Management of the Training and Career Development Department organized its 4th and final meeting - 2019 for KNPC Excellence Center in the H. O. Auditorium.

The meeting included 5 presentations submitted by IT engineers on technological and technical topics. The first presentation was made by Engineer Abdulaziz Al-Qallaf on "BlockChan" technology, while the second presentation was presented by Engineer Mohamed Mazyad and Engineer Sherine Al-Kandari for the Self-Service Center of IT Department, and the third presentation was presented by Eng. Maryam Al-Gharabally about "SQL" servers under the new operating system "Linux Red Hat".

The meeting included a fourth presentation by Engineer Hassan Al Hashemi on modern communication technologies "5G", whereas Senior Engineer Abdul Majeed Al-Sabah concluded the meeting with a fifth presentation on data protection technologies.

New Control Center Opened at MAADCEO of MAA Fahd Al-Daihani has opened the new refinery Control Center, which is one of the largest central control centers in the region, and has a fundamental role in coordination between the operational units and the supporting ones at the refinery, thus facilitating the link between the units to take operational decisions safely.

The Center will be operated in several stages, as follows:

- The first stage: It includes running the operations of the service and sulfur treating units, in addition to operating the Desulfurization Unit from the oil gas (unit 144) and the Hydrogen Production Unit.

- The second stage: CFP remaining units will be operated from within the refinery Control Center as scheduled.

- The third stage: Completing transfer of workers in the MAA-FUP / MAA-RMP from the local Control Rooms to the refinery Control Center to run the existing units.

KNPC Participates in Engineering Design ExhibitionKNPC participated in the 37th Engineering Design Exhibition which was organized by the Engineering Training Center and graduates at the College of Engineering and Petroleum at Kuwait University, under the auspices of the Speaker of the National Assembly Marzouk Al-Ghanem, and with the support of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences.

The exhibition was held in the conference hall of Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Center, and was opened by Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Issa Al-Kandari, whereas the Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Housing Affairs Dr. Rana Al-Faris attended thereof.

The opening of the exhibition included honoring the sponsors, including KNPC which was represented by the Team Leader of the External Communication Khaled Al-Enezi. Al-Kandari honored the company for sponsoring a number of projects of students participating in the exhibition, and whose number reached up to 440 competitors with 107 diverse projects.

DCEO for Projects Abdullah Fahad Al-Ajmi received a delegation from Kuwait Petroleum Corporation headed by Deputy Managing Director of Training Hisham Al-Rifai who visited the company to honor the team of IT Department, for its successful implementation of the automatic system of Talent Management Program at the oil sector level “K-Talent System”.

The honoring was attended by IT Department Manager Naji Al-Marri as well as Manager of Planning and Support Training of KPC Hussein Snasiri, and the Team Leader of the talent management and leadership development Haifa Al-Yoha.

Al-Rifai highlighted the distinction and professionalism of IT Team in implementing the program with the self-efforts of national cadres, without the participation of any outsourced specialized parties.

The Management Meets with "Support Services" and "Fuel Supply" EmployeesIn the presence of DCEO for Support Services Abdulaziz Al-Duaij and DCEO for Fuel Supply Operations Ghanem Al-Otaibi, the CEO participated in the open day with the employees of the Support Services and Fuel Supply Operations (Grade 17 and below).

Al-Bader expressed his happiness for harvesting the fruitful efforts of KNPC employees while inaugurating a number of major units in the CFP, expressing his hope to complete the remaining units in the next few months. Thanks to the sincere efforts of the company's employees in the refineries.

For his part, Al-Duaij pointed out that the meeting deepens the career responsibility at the oil sector level, underlining the interest of the senior management in knowing the opinions and ideas of the employees who are the basis for the advancement of the company's business.

In his turn, Al-Otaibi pointed out that the aim of this meeting is to enhance communication with the employees, explaining that the senior management communicates with the Labor Union to achieve more benefits for employees, and to study all applicable proposals.

The employees conversed with the senior management, raised several questions freely regarding the company, work matters, challenges and difficulties facing them. Their questions were answered with complete transparency.
