1. Followers of Christianity are called Christians.
Name of Followers
1. Christians are the followers of a Jew named Jesus
of Nazareth. They base their religion and their life on his teachings.
2. Many believe Jesus was the son of God.3. Jesus traveled around teaching about a new
covenant between God and the Jews. Those who followed his teachings broke away from the Jews.
4. When he was 33 he was sentenced to death by hanging on the cross because he was seen as a political threat.
5. After three days Jesus was resurrected.

1. Abraham: A very important figure. He is
considered a prophet of God. 2. Jesus Christ: Christians base their religion on
the life and teachings of him. 3. Pastors, ministers or priest: Christian leaders
depending on the group. Are responsible for leading worship.
Important People
1. Christians believe in one God. 2. Most Christians belief in the Trinity, which is
the idea that God has three parts: God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.
3. The goal of Christianity is to achieve salvation or eternal life with God.
Beliefs about God
1. Christmas: Celebrates the birth of Jesus
Christ. 2. Easter: Celebrate the resurrection of Jesus
Christ.

2. All three consider Jerusalem the holiest city because that is where they believe Jesus Christ died and rose from the dead.
