Carry a message : A picture should tell a story, by looking at the picture, the viewers know the message inside the picture(s) AND Fulfill most of the techniques in photography; composition, the placement of POI, lighting/ exposure, angle, focus etc. Find as much as possible the information of ritual you attend. Be ready before the procession/ ritual start. Check your cameras, batteries, and other equipments. Respect yourself, respect others : watch your attitude Usually the objects in the ritual process is sacred Dont make your presence interrupt the ritual process Always ready with the camera and aware with the interesting moments, since you wont get the chance twice. Aware with your location so you can be in the right place and the right moment. Watch your position, try to locate yourself in the best place so you can take a good angle Do not rush, chose the best moment Dont take picture against the light. You can use flash but sometimes in certain ritual, the usage of the flash is forbidden. Try different angle, try to find something that represent the ritual itself.
