There will be a concert performance of "Beauty and the Beast" performed by the Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons students. All for a bargain price of &12.00 per person. Call the office by Mon., Dec. 9, 12-Noon to reserve your seat, 518-346-6137.
The event is coordinated by the Bereavement Ministry.
LIKE "Saint Kateri Tekakwitha Parish" on Facebook! Every day during Advent, there will be a reflection on searching for light which includes the daily readings. These reflections were written by Phyllis Zagano in the November 2002 "Catholic Update".
This is a simple way to build in an Advent practice.
Scripture Groups: We meet Tuesday, 3:30pm & Thursday, 2pm in the Rosa Road Community Room to discuss the upcoming Sunday readings. Come reflect on the Word of God this Advent.
Four Weeks to a "A Wonderful Life"!:"8 our suffering produces endurance, endurance produces character, character produces hope and hope does not disappoint because God's love has been poured into our hearts..." Romans 5:4-5. This scriptural passage from St. Paul is dramatically illustrated in the movie, "It's Wonderful Life." Join us the Advent as we closely watch, reflect upon and discuss the journey of George and Mary Bailey. The movie is filled with Biblical and Sacramental references that can help us reflect upon and better understand our own journey towards discovering Christ's presence in each of our own lives. Join us whether you have never seen the movie or have viewed it many times. We’ll watch the entire movie over the course of 4 weeks under the facilitation of Jim Dillon. Each weekly session includes viewing a segment of the movie followed by group discussion. Our continuing session dates in the Rosa Road Community Room will be at 6:30pm on Tuesday Dec. 10th and Monday Dec. 16th. To register, contact Kris Rooney in the Parish Office. This will fill you with hope this Advent. Families welcome!
RCIA, or Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults, is a process to become Catholic. Whether you are not baptized yet or missed other sacraments, we will find a way to support you in your faith journey. Our next gathering is Wednesday, December 11th 6:30pm in the Rosa Road Library to talk about Mary, the Mother of God. Please call Kris Rooney in the parish office to inquire.
Because of Christmas, the Caregiver Support Group
will meet at a new time this month: Wed., December 18th,
at 9:30am in the Union St. Glass Foyer.
If you care for someone with a form of dementia, you are welcome to participate in this group supported by the
Alzheimer’s Assoc.
Are you unable to come to church? We would love to reach out to you, whether it is bringing
communion, a simple visit, meals or a few rides.
You remain a vital part of our parish community.
Please contact Kris Rooney in the parish office.
We are looking for more visitation ministers.
Join us this Sunday for the Breakfast with St. Nicholas parish wide event!
9am-12pm at the St. Kateri Parish School. Breakfast, crafts, music and a visit from St. Nick! This is a free event with a free will donation accepted at the door.
The Healing Together Support Group will meet Mon., December 9 at 1pm in the Rosa Road Community Room.
If you are grieving the loss of a loved one, we invite you to join us to help you continue your journey through a difficult time. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to call Eileen Warlop, 518 374-3914

we will honor Mary, Patroness of the USA and of our diocese, with masses on:

but we are still short by $25,500. Please make your family's pledge to support the many important works of our diocese by taking an envelope from church or by pledging online at: www.thebishopsappeal.org.

to light our Advent candles at mass. To learn more about any of these ministries,

Socks For Bethesda House Guests In the tradition of our long time parishioner Bob Christoffel, we are collecting
New - Warm women’s and men’s socks, as a part of our Christmas gift to guests of the Bethesda House. Each guest will receive a gift package to help keep them warm through the cold season. Time is running out to return your selection from
the Giving Tree. Please return by no later than
