The Regulation of the Office of the Prime Minister on the Truth for National Reconciliation 2010 established the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Thailand (TRCT) to investigate and determine the root causes of the conflict and violent incidents that occurred in April-May, 2010. The aim of the Commission is to create a clear understanding of what occurred and to recommend remedies and ways to prevent such violence and loss from reoccurring in order to promote reconciliation among Thai people.
