It is an international assessment administered every ve years that measures trends in
reading comprehension at the fourth grade. The assessment is conducted in native
language in puplic and private schools, and compares the results with the ability of
their peers in the participating countries.

This study is conducted under the auspices of the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement.
It is an international study carried out every four years to compare grade 4 and grade 8 students achievements in both mathematics and science subjects with different educational systems that differ in their cultural, social and economical background to measure the inuence of these factors in the achievement level.

It is an international assessment of the skills and knowledge of 15-year-olds from grade 7 to grade 12.PISA is implemented every three years to assesses students performance on real-life tasks that are considered relevant for effective participation in adult society and for life-long learning.The subject areas or domains assessed by PISA are reading, mathematics, problem solving and science.

Are standardized assessment studies with high reliability and sincerity. Applied to specic subjects targeted students at specic stages, and are accompanied by differentquestionnaires in order to study the impact of a number of socio-economic variables, personal and environmental conditions that affect the students achievement level.
All countries participating in these international tests are required to participate in a Field Trial the year preceding the Main Study. It includes questionnaires for the school principal , the student participating in the test, parents and teachers to assess the impact of the multiplicity of the curricula, cultural backgrounds and social and economic development on the achievements level.
The objective of participating in international tests
International tests help to:
To provide the decision-makers in the ministry with information about the quality of the education in our country and to take appropriate development decisions.To develop systems and mechanisms for measuring the capacity and skills by comparing the performance of students with their counterparts at the global level in the various subjects.Provide information to the curriculum writers with the required improvements in the curriculum.
Assess the knowledge and skills of students and compare them globally with the huge numbers of students participating in various countries.Find the relationship between the students performance and factors surrounding him; such as school, home environment ,and social relationships.Measure changes in the level of student performance over time.Shed light on the educational policy.
