Simplify complex forms for end users

Lotus Forms software offers a different solution to simplify complex paper forms and adapt them to specific users.

Allows you to build wizards, prepopulate fields, and help and data completion functions right into your forms.

Role-based intelligence allows you to create forms that assume a specific format based on the user’s role or responsibility.

Data is validated at the point of entry as well, saving valuable server processing and reducing the staff time needed to validate forms that are supposed to be self-validating.

As a result, it helps improve the productivity of your people and the efficiency of your business.

Enables true “Innovation” within organizations.

Lotus Forms provides a dynamic, intelligent front-end (UI) to applications and back-end systems.

Are you required to prove compliance with regulatory and legal obligations? Do you have a need to preserve documents produced from compliance procedures?Do you have a plan or solution for accessing your critical forms in the event of a disaster?

Have you looked for ways to realize costs savings with Web-based services, as well as with electronic archiving over manually filing paper forms? How would your company benefit from speeding time-to-market with more efficient information gathering? Would it be useful for you to be able to store all the elements of an entire e-form (the data, presentation layer, business logic and signatures) in a database for records management purposes?

Do your teams have the tools they need to be productive? Would it improve productivity of your teams to have online access to all your forms based business processes? Are your customers asking for increased user convenience with 24-hour accessibility, online and offline?

Questions to Consider

Loss of paper-based forms pose both legal and storage risks Increasing Regulatory and legal obligations

Compliance

Higher labor costs due to dual entry of information, printing costs and transcription errors Difficult data integration with existing systems due to proprietary approaches Can't keep up with manual filing systems for paper forms Lost paper forms means lost critical data that has to be redone.

Cost reduction

Lost productivity Long processing time to manually transfer from paper to electronic form Critical business processes different between departments. Business requires support for digital signatures or multiple types of signing technologies that may overlap within a single form

Provides “intent-based” data access controls, constructs for iteration and grouping.

XForms controls are intended to abstract data access sufficiently to allow “skinning” of views with a variety of host languages.

For example, while we might use XFDL on our laptop, WML may prove more suitable for a PDA or mobile phone.

The host-language provides information about pagination, precision layout, enhanced features such as attachment handling, digital signatures, wizard front-ends, etc.
