Game Talk:
Last Time Out
“I’m proud of the guys’
effort. I thought we were
unfortunate in a couple
ways. Our tendency is to
not keep our foot on the
gas and obviously that hurt
us.”
— Head Coach David Brandt
“The boys did well. I
haven’t always been
able to say that we
deserve something
from the game. I think
we deserved something.
The performance was
there, the opportunities
were there.”
— Midfielder/Captain Kevin Kerr
Game Notes:
Team Rosters:
Pittsburgh: Montreal:
· The Riverhounds (3-13-4) square off against FC Montreal (2-18-1) on the road in the final meeting of the regular season between the two clubs. Montreal has yet to win a match at home, currently amidst a nine-game losing streak at Complexe Sportif Claude-Robillard. Both the club’s 16 goals scored on the season and goal differential of minus-23 are league-worsts, and they have been shutout nine times – the Hounds, in comparison, have been clean sheet victims on seven different occasions.
· Corey Hertzog and Kevin Kerr registered the markers in the Hounds’ first meeting against Montreal – a 2-1 victory at Highmark Stadium. Pittsburgh’s two leading goal scorers at seven and three, respectively, have been hot as of late as well. Hertzog has registered goals in two-straight, to go along with two assists, after enduring a five-game goalless streak, while Kerr has tallied twice in his past four and recorded a shot on goal in six-straight.

· Pittsburgh will be without the services of both Lebo Moloto (card accumulation) and Mike Green (red card) due to suspension. Both players are two of only six Hounds players this season to have registered 1,300-plus minutes played, and have started the past 15 and 12 matches, respectively. Green, in particular, picked up his career-best third assist of the season last week against Louisville before being sent off in the 68th minute.
· Six of the Hounds’ 13 points on the season have come on the road, good for a record of 1-5-3. After defeating Wilmington 4-1 on its last road trip, Pittsburgh will look to nab back-to-back road wins for the first time since August 3, 2013.
