The circular specimen of the fabric being tested is held horizontally

Universal Wear Tester, to determine the wear and abrasion resistance of

fabric used in clothing, footwear and industrials. Universal wear tester

Supplies with surface abrasion head (inflated diaphragm method) and

flex abrasion head as well as necessary weights and initial supply of

abradants. Accessories are available for conducting frosting, pilling and

edge abrasion tests.

Universal wear tester fitted with built-in timer and mechanical cycle

counter repeatable and reproducible testing is ensured by consistent

motor speed providing 120 double strokes per minute of 25mm (1in)

stroke length. Improved air injection system for more uniform inflation of

the diaphragm used in surface abrasion testing, and a superior clamping

mechanism for repeatable specimen tensioning.

Tests are run in automatic mode to obtain definite results of high

reproducibility and to lessen the need for operator evaluation of test

results. The digital counter counts the number of cycles to specimen

rupture or can be preset for automatic shutoff without specimen failure.

Users can select the timer mode for accurate countdown of test time

while simultaneously counting the number of abrasion cycles.

M Series

Using a combination of quality engineering and advanced technology, TESTEX offers a series of machines that are

accurate and simple to use. All M series machines feature an easy-to-read LCD. All data shown on this display is

obtained in real time. The control unit features dedicated keys for moving the crosshead up, down, stop, performing

the test as well as keys for load and extension tare and crosshead return. The control panel also features an

alpha-numeric keypad to allow the input of test conditions, test data and the formatting of the test report. The control

unit can retain up to five separate test routines for easy and rapid recall.

Powerful as stand-alone units, the machine capability is enhanced by direct connection of a printer through which

comprehensive test reports and high resolution graphs can be quickly obtained. All data on the backlit LCD display
