INSTRUCTIONSPlease note the following:1. Tenderers are advised to read the entire Government Tender Bulletin. No officer of any Procurement Activity

will be held responsible for loss of a potential opportunity to tender due to possible incorrect categorising of requirements.

2. Requests are categorised separately for tenders with estimated values of less than R75 000 and more than R75 000.

4.Tender documents are generally available in English only.5. The addresses at which tender documents may be obtained and to which tenders should be posted, appear in

Annexure 1.5.1 The address where a document is available from and where it must be submitted to may differ.5.2 Tenderers should read the Conditions of Tender issued by the different tender boards. Mostly tenders that are

submitted after the closing time will not be allowed for consideration.6. The financial category for construction related supplies and services are the following:

6.1 Where security is required particulars thereof are indicated in the tender documents. However, security is mostlynot required for services with an estimated value of less than R100 000.

7. Please note that all documents issued by the Department of Public Works will be sold as follows:

• R50,00 per set for all services with a pre-estimated value from above R100 000 to R300 000.

• R100,00 per set for all services with a pre-estimated value above R300 000 to R2 000 000.

• R200,00 per set for all services with a pre-estimated value above R2 000 000.These amounts will not be refunded. Only cash or postal orders will be accepted.

7.1 No documents will be exchanged.8. Tenders must be on the official tender forms which must be filled in and completed in all respects.9. Tenders must be submitted in sealed envelopes.10. Separate envelopes must be used for each tender invitation.11. The address, tender number and closing date must appear on the front of the envelope.12. The name and address of the tenderer must appear on the back of the envelope only.

THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT BOARD (CIDB)

CIDB TENDER NOTICE AND INVITATION TO TENDER

The Construction Industry Development Board (cidb) invites tenders from service providers for provision of help desks ineach province, to support contractors wishing to apply for registration on the construction Register of Contractors. The durationof the service is 6 months and will include supporting contractors to fill in application forms for registration, submit requisite documentation and calculate registration fees.

Separate tenders will be awarded per province. Service providers are invited to tender for one or more provinces. It is

envisaged that the service provider will provide a professional administrator to resource the helpdesk and manage that

resource.

The Register of Contractors is being rolled out nationally by the cidb. It is part of the Construction Registers Service

established by the cidb in terms of the Construction Industry Development Board Act of 2000 and regulations published in

Government Gazette 26427 of 9 June 2004. The regulations require public sector clients to apply the Register of Contractors

in procurement of engineering and construction works.

ESTABLISHMENT OF A NEW SUPPLIER REGISTER

All interested businesses are hereby invited to apply for registration as potential suppliers of goods and services to the dplg.

At the dplg we are committed to black economic empowerment and the promotion of small, medium and micro enterprises.

We will therefore apply the Preferential Procurement Regulations issued in terms of the Preferential Procurement Policy

Framework Act (No. 5 of 2000) when price quotations/bids for the supply of goods and services are invited from our registered

suppliers.
