Pharmacy (For Women), Chincholi, Nashik has organized a two day’s State Level Seminar

on “Challenges and Opportunities in Quality By Design” on, January 12 & 13, 2019. The

seminar was sponsored by Savitrbai Phule Pune University (SPPU). The seminar witnessed

participation about 30 professionals and 140 students from various colleges and universities.

As conveyed by Dr. Charushila Bhangale, Principal, College of Pharmacy (For Women), the

quintessence of the seminar was to comprehend and create awareness about rationalised,

perfect approach while designing of formulation or method development that will surely lead

to fruitful outcome in drug development process. The seminar was inaugurated by the

esteemed Chief Guest Dr. Jaiprakash Sangshetty, Associate Professor, Department of

Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Y.B. Chavan College of Pharmacy, Aurangabad, followed by his

deliberation on “Application of Quality by Design in Analytical Method Development”. Dr.

Gajanan Kalyankar, Associate professor, College of Pharmacy, Bardoli, Gujrat orated on

“Quality by Design Approach to Stability Indicating HPLC Method Development”, Dr.

Sandesh Lodha, Associate professor, College of Pharmacy, Bardoli, Gujrat delivered a talk

on, “Quality by design approach for development of drug synthesis” on the first day of

seminar.

On the second day of seminar, Dr. Shivanand N. Hiremath, Principal, Pravara Rural

College of Pharmacy (Diploma), Loni gave lecture on “Quality by Design in formulation

development”. Mr. Somesh Navat, Research Scientist, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals LTD,

Nashik delivered a talk on, “Quality by Design in Generic development”, Mr. Satish

Mandlik, Assistant Professor, Sinhgad College of Pharmacy, Vadgaon, Pune discussed on

“Implementation of Design of Experiments in establishment of Design Space in QBD” and

Mr. Amol Choudhari, Sr. Executive, Tech. Transfer, Mylan Laboratories Ltd., Aurangabad

discussed about “Quality by Design: Industrial Perspective”.

Under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) K.T.V. Reddy, Campus Director of PTEC, Nashik

During the camp different events were conducted including guidance to school

children about the cleanliness, importance of education for best future, Rally and skit on

different social awareness concerns like AIDS, water harvesting, save girl etc, Survey on

financial and social Conditions of personnel’s, construction of dam by traditional method

using soil for water harvesting, create awareness about environmental cleaning among local

people, Free Eye check up camp in which 145 residential were benefited, and different expert

lectures from eminent personalities from different fields. Also, students were conducted

different competitions like debate and others.

The closing ceremony of camp was presided by Prof. (Dr.) K.T.V. Reddy, Campus

Director PTEC, Nashik; Prof. Mrs. Ujjawala Katkade, Chief Guest; Mrs Vanita Kapadi,

Sarpanch, Dheshwandi Village and other respective dignitaries were present. Prof. (Dr.)

K.T.V. Reddy guided the students and gatherings. In his key note address, he emphasized on

the contribution of the youth to be more important and responsible for the growth of the

society. They praised the activities performed by the volunteers and Programme officers. The

Details of Event

In order to enhance employability skills of students, Pravara Rural Education Society’s,

College of Pharmacy (For Women), Chincholi have organized a one day workshop on

Employability Assessment Program in co-ordination with Gokhale’s Advanced Training

Institute, Jalgaon (GATI) on 10th

September, 2018 from 10:00 am to 05:30 pm. The institute

is headed by its director Mr. Devdatta Gokhale and chief administrative Officer Ms. Rashmi

Gokhale. Employability Assessment Program aimed to connect prospective employers and

candidates. The program was conducted in two sessions. In grooming session, Mr. Devdatta

Gokhale guided students on topic soft skill development. In that they overviewed different

topics includes technical report writing skills, confidence building, program communication

& presentation skills, group discussion & interview techniques, industry culture workshop

(Values, culture, attitudes, positive thinking, goal setting, etiquettes & motivation) as well as

personality development followed by second session concludes actual group discussion and

personal interview.

Report on

WORKSHOP ON INTERVIEW TECHINQUES 2018-19

Savitribai Phule Pune University sanctioned a grant for year 2018-19

under WORKSHOP ON INTERVIEW TECHINQUES to our college total 02 expert

lectures & training program on various topics were organized on different

techniques for the girls of B. Pharmacy. Arrangement for the lectures was made

in the class. Total 70 girls’ students benefited with this workshop.

The workshop really helps the students by improving their knowledge with

various aspects related how to interview. They where guided related various tips,

attitude and how to write resume through this program. We really appreciate the

efforts taken by the university to organize these events for colleges. The

university is routinely taking such efforts for students and releasing the grants

for motivating the college to conduct such activity. We thanks to the Vice

chancellor, Director Board of student’s welfare and their staff members for

helping us. This will also improve the skills of the college teachers.

Report on

WORKSHOP ON EQUIPMENT HANDLING 2018-19

Savitribai Phule Pune University sanctioned a grant for year 2018-19

under WORKSHOP ON EQUIPMENT HANDLING to our college total 02 expert

lectures & training program on various instruments were organized for the girls

of B. Pharmacy in collaboration with RAP Analytical Research and Training

Center, Nashik. Arrangement for the handling was made in the Labs. Total 55

girls’ students benefited with this workshop on Equipment handling..

The workshop really helps the students by improving their knowledge with

various aspects related how to handle sophisticated instruments. They where

guided how to handle HPLC and Microwave Synthesizer through this program.

We really appreciate the efforts taken by the university to organize these events

for colleges. The university is routinely taking such efforts for students and

releasing the grants for motivating the college to conduct such activity. We

thanks to the Vice chancellor, Director Board of student’s welfare and their staff

members for helping us. This will also improve the teaching skills of the college

teachers.

The students of Final year B. Pharm of our college visited to Elder Project Pvt. Ltd as a part of

industrial visit on Saturday, 06/09/2014. Mr. S. D. Solankar (Manager-works) helped the students along

with staff and was taken around the plant and different departments like production, stores, QC and QA.

All the students were divided in group of two.

First we visited to Raw material store and Quarantine area, where storage head explained all the

process of incoming and analysis of raw materials as well as packaging materials.
