NORTHEASTERN OKLAHOMA GREEN COUNTRY 2019

Green Country is located in Northeast Oklahoma, roughly bordering I-35 and Ponca City on the west, to the state line on the east, Lake Eufaula and I-40 on the south, to the state line on the north.

People ask “Why is it called Green Country?”

There’s no secret. Someone named Green didn’t discover the area. It isn’t “new” as green might indicate. We’re not Green with envy. We are simply beautiful and green in color, that’s it! Our area is sprinkled with lakes and more lakes; some are big, some not so much. But there’s plentiful water for all sorts of fun.

Browse the eclectic specialty and antique shops in our towns and cities. Mall shopping ranges from indoor to outdoor, from quaint to sophisticated.

Whether you stay a week or a weekend, we know you’ll enjoy your visit among the friendly people who call northeast Oklahoma’s Green Country home.

Shop. Dine. Fun. will help you locate some of our best local treasures for shopping, dining and fun. Follow Green Country Oklahoma on Facebook for great recommendations on events and fun activities. Plan your visit and request free travel guides and maps at GreenCountryOK.com.

Our cover features the Tulsa Botanic Garden and the Tulsa Zoo.
