Introduction The fisheries sector in Mozambique is implementing a long term strategic

plan

The Consequence of that is changing a traditional technology of fishing to the modern

technology

Many social practices and traditional technology have been lost or transformed

The similar process happened in at the end of the 19th century and the

beginning of the 20h century

The Portuguese colonial government settled many Portuguese in Mozambique

(Poveiros)

They introduced a first visible technological revolution on the fisheries activity

The ‘Fisheries Culture’ in Mozambique reflect this ‘culture meeting’

This communication tend to analyse how the ‘Fisheries Culture’ (memories and story)

would be represent in Fisheries Museum in Mozambique and the involvement of

stakeholders in process
