PILOT STUDY
• A pilot study was conducted in the month of September 15th to September 21st at East West Public School, Bangalore. An administrative approval was obtained from the Principal to conduct the study. Ten percent of the main study sample size has been taken for pilot study. A simple random sampling technique was used to select 4 primary school teachers.
• The data was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The mean post-test score 77.5% which was than the mean pre-test scores being 43.3% with‘t’- 5.18 being significant at 0.05 level the findings of the data reveal that this study is feasible. The results revealed that there was significant gain in knowledge after the nursing interventional programme. Hence the tool was found to be feasible for main study .
The analysis and interpretation of data of this study are based on data collected by the questionnaire from primary school teachers (n = 40). The results were computed using descriptive and inferential statisticsThe data are presented under the following sections:SECTION: A. Description of frequency and percentage distribution of socio demographic characteristics of primary school teachers. SECTION B: - Assessment and comparison of Pre and post test knowledge scores on emotional quotient.SECTION C:- Association of socio demographic variables with post mean knowledge level of subjects.
