The Different Shopping Cart Choices Open Source – Open Cart/ Prestashop etc… Fully hosted – Shopify/BigCommerce Hybrid - Wordpress/Ecwid/Shopify Combo Fully hosted will be the most expensive but the easiest to use. Open source will be the most flexible and the cheapest but harder to use

You have to convey why someone should shop at your store You have to prove to the customer that you are trustworthy You have to demonstrate that your order will be delivered on
time You have to show that you have great customer service You have to make the customer believe that their order will
be handled as well as Amazon
Four Pillars Of Success TRUST - You must convince customers that you are legit. RETAIN - You must have sequences in place to bring people
back to your site who visited but didn't buy. RETURN - You must have sequences in place to get people
to buy multiple times TRAFFIC - You must get people to find your site.

Pillar #1 Gaining Trust Do not show social share counts until you have reached
critical mass Make sure your unique value proposition is clear on every
landing page of your site Have your phone number in the header Emphasize free shipping, easy returns and customer service Use testimonials and media mentions on every page of your
site.
Pillar #2 Retain Your Customers 98%+ of your visitors won't buy on their first visit. Bring them back to your site with 3 email sequences An abandoned cart campaign A reengagement campaign A pre-purchase sequence Use retargeting on Facebook and Google to bring back

Pillar #4 Drive Traffic To Your Site When it comes to ads, the 2 best options starting out is likely
going to be Facebook or Google Google is good when
o There are people out there actively searching for your products
o Your product keywords are specific – dinosaur tshirts as opposed to just tshirts
Facebook is good when… o Your product is new or relatively unknown o People aren’t searching for your product or your
keywords are too competitive to bid on

Google Shopping Out of all of the Google ad types, Google Shopping is one
that you should start with immediately because… o It converts much higher than the other types of ads o Customers have photo and pricing BEFORE they click o Purchase intent is implicit in the advertisement
Make sure your photo and description accurately matches your ad.
All major shopping carts will generate the product feed for you automatically
Our shopping ads convert at around 6%

Running Facebook Ads Drive people to a content page where you ask for an email
and let your email funnel close the sale Drive people directly to a product page with some sort of
incentive to buy now (coupon, offer etc…) Ad Example #1 - Content Ad

Email Marketing Overview - The 4 Sequences
A pre-purchase sequence o Activated when a customer signs up for your list
Abandoned cart campaign o Activated when a customer doesn’t complete checkout,
get them back A post-purchase sequence
o Activated when a customer buys A reengagement campaign
o Activated when a customer hasn’t purchased for a certain period
Summary
Make sure your website is ready BEFORE you start driving traffic to it.
