OUR LADY’S FAVORITE PRAYER

HOLY MARY, MOTHER OF GOD”

A prayerful reflection to the Blessed Virgin Mary:

The angel Gabriel was sent from God to a town of Galilee called Nazareth,

to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the house of David, and the

virgin’s name was Mary.

And coming to her, he said,

“Hail, full of grace!! The Lord is with You.”

The Angel Gabriel was first to utter this prayer to Mary which eventually

became the “Hail Mary”, the prayer of the Rosary.

During May, the month of Our Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Ambrose Catholic

Community will have the opportunity to pray this powerful prayer to Mary,

Mother of God. Please plan on joining us in prayer which will begin 20

minutes before all weekend Masses in May.

The ladies who will lead us during this month of May are as follows:

Betty Smaistrla, Gail Lehr Rose Marie Grahman Kim Dang and Chris Canik

IN A VOCATION-CROSS PROGRAM This program involves praying for all who generously share in Church

ministry in particular, for priests, brothers, deacons and sisters. Hopefully

this experience will motivate us to take seriously our vocation as members

of the Body of Christ.

The Spirit is calling men and women, and preparing boys and girls from our

day school and CCE program to serve in the Church.

May our prayer for vocations inspire all of us to listen attentively to the call

of God’s Spirit and respond with generous hearts.

HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS

Let us know your willingness to take a VOCATION CROSS home for one

week and pray for vocations.

Fill out the form in the narthex and return to the church office., or call the

church office at 713-686-3497 to schedule a time.

SECOND COLLECTION Next weekend, (Sunday June 3) Feast of Corpus Christi, the total offertory in every parish of the archdiocese is dedicated to the support of those studying for the priesthood. For 2016-2117 over a million dollars is needed from this collection to support our seminarians studying for the priesthood. To achieve this goal, Cardinal DiNardo requests that you double the amount of your regular church support for the weekend of May 28-29. If each contributor will do this, the needed subsidy will be met by this collection. In gratitude for the incomparable gift of the Holy Eucharist, which is inseparably joined to the priesthood, please do your part to help the archdiocese provide priests for the sake of your future by praying daily for vocations and supporting this collection. ________________________________________________

THE MOST HOLY BODY AND BLOOD OF CHRIST

Domingo 27 de Mayo, 2018 Ciclo B

Santísima Trinidad

Deuteronomio 4,32-34.39-40: El Señor es el único

Dios

Tres personas

distintas, no tres dioses distintos.

he mandado».

no había pecado alguno (ver Mt 3, 14-15).

hacerla pertenecer a Él totalmente, incorporándola a Aquel cuyo

PARTICIPATING

IN A VOCATION-CROSS PROGRAM This program involves praying for all who generously share in Church ministry in particular, for priests, brothers, deacons and sisters. Hopefully this experience will motivate us to take seriously our vocation as members of the Body of Christ. The Spirit is calling men and women, and preparing boys and girls from our day school and CCE program to serve in the Church. May our prayer for vocations inspire all of us to listen attentively to the call of God’s Spirit and respond with generous hearts. HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS

Let us know your willingness to take a VOCATION CROSS home for one week and pray for vocations. QUESTIONS??? Call Sister Charline at 713-682-2242.
