Powerful Multi-screen Processing CapabilitiesMulti-mode allows configuration of multiple PinP (picture in picture) insets that can be resized, repositioned, switched and can also be hidden as needed. An amazing variety of multi-screen video configurations can be created using the XS-Series’ powerful video processing capabilities.

Video Processing and ModesThe XS series is equipped with video processor which allows composition and trimming of the video.

Dissolve transition and PGM/PST mode have been added to the features in Version 2.0.In addition to switching the video from OUTPUT1 seamlessly, it also supports for events operation.

Seamless Video TransitionsCross dissolve adds seamless switching capability for smooth transitions without the need for fading to black.

Confi dent Switching for live EventsPGM/PST Mode uses OUTPUT 2 as a preview bus to verify the next video source and execute the switch using the “take” function. The PGM/PST Mode also supports cross dissolve transitions from OUTPUT 1.The preview bus also supports the display of a guide that shows the main output’s eff ective display area to ensure that the previewed content is properly sized when sent to the program output.

Matrix Configuration for the Audio MixerThe built-in 16-channel audio mixer can be set to a matrix configuration, allowing the send level from each input to be set individually to each output. When used in combination with the Audio Follow feature, sophisticated AV systems can be configured.

When AUDIO FOLLOW = ON, audio is sent to a single specified location in tandem with switchings in video input, with all other outputs at 0.

Embedding HDMI input into o t h e r o u t p u t s a s w e l l a s de-embedding to analog audio outputs. Internal delay settings enable alignment of audio to video for perfect lip-sync.

The unit has six stereo audio inputs that support line levels. Suppo r t f o r aud io f o l l ow enab les aud io sw i t ch ing c o o r d i n a t e d w i t h v i d e o switching.

2 Mic and Line Inputs

Two audio inputs with support for both mic levels and line levels are provided. An internal ducking function enables the ability to have the mic level automatically mixed above any other audio input.

Ser ia l connect ion enables control by external devices such as wall panels, remote buttons, etc.

Resolutions up to WUXGA/1080p are supported. Each output b lock prov ides an HDBaseT connector for transmitting digital signals via Cat5e/6 cable over distances of up to 100 meters.

RS-232C Port HDMI/HDBaseT Outputs

Resolutions up to WUXGA/1080p are supported. A built-in EDID emulator copies the EDID info of the display receiving output, achieving input and output of highest quality.

Example Confi guration: Conference RoomsThe XS series can perform switching for up to eight computers and video devices. Systems comprising mixed digital and analog video sources in HDMI, RGB, Component, S-video, and composite can be confi gured. For audio as well, up to eight stereo channels of input can be switched and mixed. The ducking function also makes it possible to lower audio-line volume when someone speaks into a microphone. With a built-in ducking function, you don’t have to buy additional compressor.

Example Confi guration: ClassroomsThe XS series is equipped with a processor that enables compositing functions. The MULTI MODE allows compositing video signals from cameras and computers, which is convenient for recording E-learning contents as well as switching HDCP protected HDMI singals from computers or Blu-ray players. Still-images can be saved in internal memory which makes it possible to display a school logo while in standby with no inputs connected.

Example Confi guration: Event Halls and ChurchesThe XS series supports component, S-video, and composite feeds in addition to HDMI and RGB, making it ideal for event halls equipped with sources in various media formats. Mulit-screen productions become possible with the diff erent video modes. The horizontal mirroring and cropping functions enable the creation of laterally symmetrical video output while still sending a wideshot to the lobby.

Example Confi guration: 4K Mode ExampleThe XS-84H is capable of switching four video lines as a group, enabling confi guration of a 4K system. Switching a mixture of video feeds that includes 4K, HD, and SD sizes as well as up to WUXGA and other computer video formats is also possible.

Example Confi guration: Events and ConventionsThe XS series is equipped with eight ports each for HDMI and RGB/Component/S-video/Composite input, giving it enough capacity to accommodate even large conventions. The PinP function make it possible to composite diff erent types of informational screens separately from the main screen, for output to monitor displays visible to presenters and performers. Version 2.0 adds cross dissolve transition and PGM/PST mode with a preview sizing guide for confi dent operation in live events.
