Gone girl is about a married couple played by Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike. While his wife's disappearance having become the focus of an intense media circus, a man sees the spotlight turned on him when it's suspected that he may not be innocent.

In the movie 'Gone Girl' the married couple seem to be this perfect happy couple. However, it on purpose never shows the downside to the relationship in the movie. This is because even though it is told that the wife is missing. Truth is that the husband has murdered his wife,but then tries to play the hurt and torn victim because of the missing wife. In the trailer it shows the wifes body, who is dead butsinking to the bottom of an ocean. In this scene an extreme close-up shot has been used to show the expressions of this womans face. All the pain finally coming to an end and all of her emotions are being washed away with the sea now that she is dead. This scene really makes people jump off there seat and start asking a multiple of questions about the "innocent" husband.
