Wally Olins

Wally Olins is a co-founder of Wolff Olins and was Chairman of the company until 1997 . He is Chairman of Saffron Brand Consultants . He was awarded a CBE in 1999 . He was nominated for the Prince Philip Designers Prize in 1999 and received the Royal Society of Arts' Bicentenary Medal for his contribution to design and marketing . Wally Olins has written several books including the seminal work Corporate Identity', first published in 1989 and reprinted many times, in many languages . "Trading Identities - how countries and companies are taking on each others' roles " was published by The Foreign Policy Centre, the UK Foreign Office think tank . His new book "Wally Olins On Brand "has just been published . He has advised many of the world's leading organisations on identity, branding, communication and related matters; these include 3i, Akzo-Nobel, Repsol, Q8, Tata, The Portuguese Tourist Board, BT, Prudential, Renault and Volkswagen . He has also worked with a number of countries on branding issues . He has acted as advisor to major strategic consultancies.

•Wally Olins is recognised as perhaps the world’s most experienced brand practitioner . Wally is chairman of Saffron . He co-founded the brand consultancy Wolff Olins.

His publication

• At Saffron, Wally has worked with the Government of Poland, Lloyd’s of London and the Royal Opera House among others . At Wolff Olins, he led the team that reinvented the BT brand .Other clients included Orange, 3i, Akzo Nobel, Tata, Repsol, Q8, The Portuguese Tourist Board, Prudential, Renault and Volkswagen . He has been a visiting lecturer at the Saïd Business School at Oxford, Lancaster University and Copenhagen Business School and is a frequent commentator on branding . He has written seven books including the seminal Corporate Identity, first published in 1989 . His most recent, The Brand Handbook, was published in June 2008 .

He’s smart and clever. He has creative ideas to make people identify. He designed the famous brand in the world. He’s one of the famous graphic designer in the world. I like his smile and his face. He looks kind

and generous. His face is like he never gets upset.

• All of his work is famous, actually they’re the famous brand in the world such as, Orange, Coca Cola, Portugal etc.

• His style is identify that make people recognize.

Graphic design would be the same today ?

• I don’t think the graphic design would be the same without the designer.

• It wont be the same because the designer came along to create the brand and make people recognize.

• It made people called the things and understand each other.
