Step 1. Open a Web Browser!

Launch your Mediasite Desktop Recorder from the middle of the dock

Step 2. Sign-in/ USD AD account!

Step 5. Begin a Recording!

Press NEXT Button

Step 7. Setup Hardware!

Talk until you see the green bars go up indicating good levels

TIP: Use a headset with microphone for best audio

Step 8. Prepare Screen!

Step 9. Capture Area!

TIP: Use your mouse to select the area you want to record

Press NEXT Button

Step 10. Summary!

Step 10 – Notice red corners!

TIP: Uncheck box “Show recording control panel”

Press RECORD Button

Step 11. Countdown!

Step 11 – 5 second countdown

Step 12. Recording Area!

Step 12 – To STOP recording press icon in upper right

As long as the red corners are showing you are recording

Step 13. Finish Recording!

Step 13 – Choose Finish Recording

TIP: Options to discard or resume

Step 14. Upload to New!

Step 14 – Choose Upload to New

Step 15. Uploading Status!

Step 15 – View Progress Bar (blue)

Step 16. Open Presentation!

Step 16 – View Upload complete then choose Open Presentation

Step 17. Login to Mediasite Server!

Step 17 – Login to MyMediasite Server

Step 18. Offline View!

Step 18 – The recording will be Offline by default

Step 19. Make Viewable and Save!

Step 19 – Go to the Edit tab, and choose Viewable from the Dropdown Status on the right side, then press Save

Step 20. Summary!

Step 20 – Now the video is Viewable so you can review, edit or replace

Step 21. Sharing URL/Embed Code!

Step 21 – Under the Share tab you can copy the Link or Embed code into your Blackboard course or webpag

Step 22. Press Play/Launch Player!

Step 22 – Press Play and then hover over the upper right until you see an arrow Icon appear. Click to launch the full Mediasite player

Step 23. Mediasite Player!

Step 23 – The Mediasite player allows users viewing choices with custom playback features
