ABOUT US

BACKGROUNDIn 1994 Malcolm Cunningham began offering his services as an independent specialist in architectural sketch

renderings. This came after several years in the employ of Rael D. Slutsky and Associates and prior background as an architectural/graphics technician for local Chicago area design firms.

Fifteen years of subsequent experience have afforded an exposure to many different project types and a variety of the areas design firms and realtors/developers.

A particular capability is the depiction of traditional and historic architecture and familiarity with local design context.

WHY ?In this digital age we remain convinced that there is a place for the look and evocative qualities of

traditional media delineation. Since most firms use the same software, regrettably most computer renderings have a generic “sameness” about them that fails to excite the viewer or differentiate a firms work from that of its competition.

At the beginning of a project or in competitive proposal situations, the lack of a design data base or the development cost and time required may preclude digital renderings. In the case of public design presentations hand drawn images can

“soften” the appearance of an otherwise computer generated presentation. Plus, traditional media is truly “green”.

PRODUCTIONTraditional media perspective renderings via the plan projection method.

Renderings may also be developed from client’s wire frame views or from photographs of existing structures with supplemental layout.

.Review of intermediate line images at view study, layout, black and white line drawing stages via fax or scan;

Review of final color image via 11 x 17 format color scan via e mail or disk.
