InspirationThe inspiration for Solo and the

Groovers is Marc Bolan and T.rex. The original idea of Solo started in 2004 when I was ten years old. Each character does has certain traits of the origianl member of T.REX but I often just use the image instead of the sound. This is often described as a cartoon tribute and not a audio tribute, I am trying to give people my visual intepretation of Marc Bolan without touching the music. I also enjoy T.rextasy and Too-rex as they also keep the message of Bolan alive and I have the biggest respect for them :-)

Characters- SoloSolo is 20 years old and was born on the

29th september in Hackney. He is the lead singer and guitarist of the group. He is often described by many as being a womanizer but this changes when he is with his friend, Delta. He likes nothing better than to relax in his room, listening to music or reading poetry and also loves to perform in concerts. The one thing I love about him is that he is the hardest character to draw which makes it more challenging but he is a rewarding character since he is visually appealing. Solo's real name is Marcus/Markus Feldan.

Characters- DeltaDelta is 14 years old and is born on the

11th of february. She is Solo's oldest friend, Solo has known her since the day of her birth along with her triplet brothers, Skelta and Helta. Delta is almost like a minder for Solo due to his troubles coming to terms with the loss of his girlfriend. She has also been with him through when he took cocaine and went into rehab. Delta also loves hanging out with her cousin, Cat 'n' Skins. I abosolutely adore Detla because she is an easy character to draw and her visual appearance is very similar to Manga which I refer to when I cannot find any ideas. Delta's real name is Jaydelta Michelle Ginsha.

Characters- Cat 'n' Skins

Cat 'n' Skins or C.S as he is known to everyone, is 14 years old, born on the 27th of september. Born in Whitehaven, Cumbria, C.S is the sweet punk-like character who I would describe as being the cutest character. Also looks can be decieveing because he can play Bass guitar really well. I like the fact that C.S is really easy to draw, it only takes me a few mintues to draw him well. C.S' real name is Micheal Vincent John Montramem.

Cahracters- Hippy

Hippy is the youngest member of Solo and the Groovers at 13 years old. He is born on the 15th of May and is from Fort Augustus, Loch Ness in the highlands of Scotland. He is chilled out and very smart and often has the same stylisation of Jimi Hendrix which I also often refer to. I like howsimple he is as a character since he is probably the easiest character to draw like C.S due to the fact they both have easy-to-draw characteristics. Hippy's real name is Hamesh William McBorough.

Future Plans

Since being at college and doing an animation course, I really want to take this and bring it to Solo and the

Groovers. This would then help me promote my work well and also show to other people what I really enjoy. I would do this in my own British cartoon style since it is what Solo and the Groovers is... an entirely British cartoon.

I am already beginning to write a story based on my characters which I also hope to have published.
