Polar Green LLC is an information technology company that develops computer workstations and other related devices for medical centers, clinics, emergency medical organizations and educational organizations. The company already has a provisional patent for a medical computer workstation which is under the brand name informacio™.

The company’s vision is to ensure all patients have access to healthcare information needed to make informed decisions. We have designed the informació workstation and Kiosk to enable physicians in the hospital and clinic settings to better share information with the patient. The hope is a patient who can be on the same page as the physician will be someone who better understands and takes an interest in their care. The workstation will help providers to better share information and promote discussion of patient care related to their disease.

The kiosk (which will house touchscreen/tablet devices) can be used for patient education related to their disease process and/or prescreening information. (The software is not part of the kiosk – this is something the clinic or facility will have to purchase separately.)

Rather than leaving societal needs to the government or business sectors, social entrepreneurs find what is not working and solve the problem by changing the system, spreading the solution, and persuading entire system to take new leaps in creating economic development.
