Agenda (cont.)

What Heavy Weather Films want They want to broaden the media platforms for their

film to games and graphic novels The target audiences are mainly veterans, college

kids, and minorities We are making a video game interpretation of their

film The video game will not only cover one of the

Deliverables

Video Game We will start the official design process no later than October 7th.

We haven’t yet set a definite date for having the “cutscenes” done, but do plan on setting that date at the next meeting on October 6 th.

We don’t have a confirmed deadline for the 1st level environments and skins, but we estimate to have a good amount done by October 20th

We aim to get at least a playable scene done by the end of the semester

This project will take longer than most so we have the year to do it.

Website If we have time once we’re done with the game we gave them the

possibility of help on revamping their website a little.

Competition

Marvel Studios – this company didn’t start with film, they actually went from graphic novel/comics to film then to video games.

Ubisoft Motion Pictures – They haven’t officially put out any movies, but with series already adapted to film and graphic novel like Prince of Persia, they are sure to have a huge following.

How we will beat our competition

Nowadays the video game industry is riddled with copycats so bringing this fresh new idea to the table will help attract the necessary audience and help get Heavy Weather Films’ movie noticed

Keeping it simple and interesting will keep our audience playing.

Bringing back the classic feel of 3D Platforming will up the replayability and keep its uniqueness

while games like CoD and Battlefield are constantly being compared, we won’t have to many games to be compared to.

What we will do to get started

After our next meeting with them we plan on officially starting the design process on the game. We thankfully have some knowledge under the belt on the engine and what our clients have in mind. To reassure them and get them on board 100% we plan on showing them more of what we have, what we can do, and how fast we can do it.

Our Pitch

This game needs to be fresh and unique while steel keeping a nostalgic and classic feel. To accomplish that we are making the genre of the game a fairly successful classic; a platformer. It will encourage the quest goal of the game, while keeping the player on a guided and structured path. Gamers love structure, but also love freedom, and this will give them a feeling of both, while also triggering that nostalgic switch, making them want to play it over and over again.
