It’s relatively close to the Que- zon City and mostly serves it as a bedroom community.This was used as a salt bed and a fish pond before a private organization, DMCI, bought it and started earth-filling to develop a medium income residential area. The main issue in Manila is the sprawl of the city due the develop of new areas which segregate the people and makes distances, services and communications extend more than it has been planned. This often cause the emerge of informal settlements. Our site is surrounded by formal and informal settlements, which we have tried to link through the project creating different situations that allows the interaction of people.
