The node design was based on the concept of telling a story, with that story being Pomona's History. For that reason, the five nodes where placed in a series, going through history, from the past to the present, and looking into the future.

The form of the node intallation was taken from a film reel, and manipulated to create intruige in the structure by wrapping around the existing path to give an invitaion to enter.

Re-Approaching the Project Design Purpose -> Enhance Surroundings

Surroundings include - Retail -> Library (Extracted from Function of Node)

- Massage/Exercise -> New Outdoor Space

- Bowls Club Lawn -> Grandstand Type Structure

- Railway Museum -> Outdoor Display

Design Development Concrete paths guide users to or from the courtyard and surrounding elements (Library, Exercise space and Cinema).

A reference to the railway lines and the art museum.

Split allows for 24/7 access to public toilets

Circulation has been pushed to the outskirts to be visible from outside.

Design Development

Partitions allow for ventilation, as well as sight restrictions, which gives a feeling of privacy. (Also used for public Toilets Design)

Node form has been used to reflect the cinema aspect, and also create a range of semi enclosed spaces which can be used for a range of activities and utilised by the yoga complex.

Concrete seating, set at different heights will be placed throughout the design. The varying height give a playful feel, and advantages for activities such as markets.
