First thing we did when we got to our chosen location – Walpole Park, was set up the cameras and put it on the tripod, in order to start filming straight away.

We started filming Laura – we got shots in different angles, so we can use for editing in order for it to flow when it cuts to these shots

As you can see each of the images above shows how we used the same location for the filming that day but in different areas of Walpole Park in Ealing. The reason we did this was because we did a lot of research and found out what our

particular genre music videos are like, to which we found out that a lot of indie music videos use only a few locations for filming, and that they also have different shots, instead of having a shot of the main person in one area of their location, therefore this is why we as group decided to have at least 4 different shots, in order to make the music video flow more,

otherwise if we had shot just on one set, the music video would be too simple and boring, which wouldn’t make the audience excited.

Again, as you can see in the images above we got 3 different areas in our chosen location to film the male in our music video, he was only briefly going to be shown in

this current location, just to introduce him in the beginning and then after he is shown more in the filming of the studio.

The reason to why we chose this location was because it’s a big area, where we can get plenty of good shots.

Whilst filming in the park we got a lot of shots of the trees and got some panning shots of the location, furthermore, we got good shots of the sun at the beginning,

however the sun disappeared, so we couldn’t get any more sun shots. We tried to get shots of birds flying, however it was very difficult as unfortunately

there wasn’t much birds around and also filming the birds flying was difficult because we wanted several birds at once flying towards the same direction.

As a group we decided to create a scene where the male and female would meet for the first time, by

doing this we had a lot of practice by directing both the male and

female on what to do for the scene. These scene took the longest to film as we had to do it so many

times to get it right.

For these scene we had to get a lot of shots in different angles, in order to edit each clip to make the scene flow for

the music video to look good.

This is our second location where we filmed, which is at one of the members of the band house, where he has a little studio, we got a lot of footage from here, however because it was all cramped, it was difficult to film but we managed to get three different angles of shots. Which captured all of the band member including Laura the singer.

As you can see in this image, we had set up the tripod outside facing the studio, because it was raining we had to use the umbrella so we don’t get the camera wet. Overall we got good shots.
