The purpose was to connect with AWI millwork shops in the New England and highlight the many opportunities there are to work with Solid Surface. Over 60 attendees representing many millworks shops where in attendance. Attendees included students from the New England Architectural Woodworking School. Live demonstrations on the use of Advanced CNC programming technology, CNC routers, and 3D Thermoforming particularly focused attention on applications that move solid surface past just a flat surface and into an almost infinite shaping medium. Sterling, MA. Sterling Surfaces hosted the New England Board of Directors and chapter of the AWI for a tour of Sterling Surfaces fabrication facility on 9/23/09. The purpose was to connect with AWI millwork shops in the New England and highlight the many opportunities there are to work with Solid Surface.
