To inspire students & young professionals to become true creative innovators.

ObjectivesCreate a platform for dynamically engaging with students and young professionals;

Consistently lift the bar in both quality and quantity of entries each year.

ObjectivesProvide the tools for teachers to effectively educate students in creativity and innovation.

Establish a series of Innovation events around the awards each year that constructively engages with regional businesses.

A key goal is to develop and enhance the resources available to students and teachers providing an in depth range of inspiring information.

Expand to incorporate young professionals to provide them an opportunity and a forum for their great ideas.

Bring innovation leaders into the region and build activity around their visits; 2010-Ray Avery, 2011-Paul Callaghan, 2012- Mark Pennington;

Build an annual innovation forum around this event each year That incorporates business, young professionals, research organizations, students & schools.

This year we got out and into schools.

The YIA team presented into the 9 Schools to raise awareness among both students and teachers.

Chose something you are strongly interested in. Find something you can change or improve. Learn first, then apply.

We’ve made it easy with two options. First answer wins.

This one is hard, a real test of prowess, which innovator started with the claw of an eagle to emerge victorious from a can of Sardines
