Responsibilities:

Too numerous to mention – but core duties were to ensure that inventory is accurate, and that each of the warehouses (5) were all adequately stocked. Overseeing that purchase orders are issued for replenishment stock factoring in various logistical issues for optimum saving without compromising delivery times of containers to various ports. Negotiating constantly. Constant follow up.

ACHIEVEMENTS

• Implementation of new effective automated Excel quoting tool that resulted in significant time and error reduction. Prior to this, quoting was a relatively complex task that was often done hastily at the expense of getting back to the customer in a timely fashion.

• Complete revamping of docket system. • Ongoing project to create a better order entry system that is specific to the needs of

1994 – 2009 St. Clair Entertainment Group Inc. – St. Laurent, Quebec Senior Buyer / Inventory Control / Operations Type of business: Distributor of promotionally priced CD and DVD product supplied throughout North America via sub-distributors & direct to various retail chains. ACHIEVEMENTS

• In collaboration with the company’s controller, was successful in creating internal systems & controls that were essentially non-existent prior to my arrival.

• Ongoing maintenance and supervision of aforementioned systems/controls. • Continually reduced costs and expenses with up to 15 inventory turns through creative

purchasing techniques and negotiations. • Continual improvements in “on time” deliveries without compromising costs. • Although not part of sales, I was an integral part of the team that contributed to the

steady rise in sales from $5 million (when I joined the company) to a high of $35 million in gross annual sales in 2003.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for all facets related to the procurement of “finished packaged product” including:

- Analyzing and purchasing graphics according to sales department input and intuitive knowledge on my part based on past experience.

- Negotiating pricing & terms with printers on a job by job basis. Grouping these graphic jobs in a specific manner developed by myself, to maximize savings and efficiency.

- Coordinating with multiple CD & DVD manufacturing plants to ensure that all elements (parts) arrive on time and that planning on their part is scheduled properly to meet our deadlines.

- Constant following up related to all critical jobs/projects with manufacturing plants, in-house sales force and directly with selected critical customers.

- Coordinating with warehouse manager, all jobs requiring special pre-packaging work. - Intervening where necessary to assure that priorities are in order and properly

organized. In addition, deciding when to change these priorities according to ever changing circumstances.

- Managing inventory in multiple warehouses. - Overseeing costs in conjunction with controller and making sure that they stay in line. - Consulting with the product development department relating to licensors and

multiple royalty costs involved.

• Promoted to purchasing after 9 months of working in the inside sales department. • Carried out a total revamp of previous purchasing procedures. • Reduced inventory by 27% while maintaining adequate stock levels on over 8500

products. • Eliminated several redundant & outdated purchasing procedures. • Developed new efficient sourcing methods • Was responsible for and credited with sourcing and establishing competitive suppliers

in South America and Asia while assuring that quality was not compromised and that, where applicable, military specifications were met.
