Polymer for Anticancer drug delivery

 

Cancer is one of the devastating disease to human society with the mortality rate of 8.2million peoples per year.

So there is a huge need of interdisciplinary research, hope nanotechnology is a key to cure to this diseases.

Nanomaterials are the particles which have unique property due to its nano-size and I am obsessed with its unique ability to

interact with the biological molecules without causing damage to the cellular system.

Nano-polymers are one of its kind which has so many interesting characters like less toxicity, high surface area, drug holding

property and binding with the cellular macro-moles.

These polymers (POP, dendrimers) can be synthesize using organic and inorganic monomers as binding blocks via different

chemical reactions.

In this research 20-200nm organic polymers were synthesized and characterized using FE-TEM, SEM, XPS, XRD, Zeta poten-

tial analysis, UV spectroscopic and Fluorescence spectroscopy analysis.

MTT assay was used to check the toxicity of this material and Laser confocal imaging, Bio-TEM analysis is used to localize the

nanoparticle within the cell.

These nanoparticles were loaded with the cancer drugs such as Doxorubicin and 5-Flurouracil via chemical bonding, hydropho-

bic-hydrophilic interaction. Molecular docking was used to analysis the interaction of polymer-drug conjugate with the target

protein present in the cancer cells. Hematological analysis, histochemical analysis of tissue sections were used to check the

safety of this nanoparticles over therapeutic application on cancer.

Electrochemical sensor for the detection of Biomolecules

In this modern life, biosensors are very important tool for detection and treatment of particular disease.

Because they are cheap, stable and sensitive to particular analyst.

In my research I am having more concern over the detection of macromolecules using electrochemical sensor.

Detection of macromolecules like cholesterol and heparin are very complex because of their structure ,charge and molecular weight .

Here we are utilizing metal oxide, polymers to detect these analyst based on electrochemical reaction (oxidation or reduction) and charge interaction.

We are utilizing different type of analyt to check the selectivity of these molecules towards particular analyst.

The sensitivity of the detection is measured using chronoamperometry and DPV

The stability of the sensor was checked for wide range of cycles and duration
