Hope you had a wonderful August 15th. Independence Day is a wonderful reminder that 69 years ago Indians did not have the right to vote, didn’t write their our own laws, and could be put in jail without trial if they asked for either. Life expectancy in 1947 was 31 years (today it is 66) and our economy grew at 0.1% per year between 1820 and 1950 (in the last 25 years it has grown at 6%) and Independence is a debt that we never be able to repay to the generation of people who sacrificed their youth, lives and families so that a colony could become a nation. But there is a difference between Independence and Freedom; Freedom is the ability to make individual choices. And therefore an unemployed, uneducated or unskilled Indian is not free. Today there are 300 million people who will never read the newspaper they deliver, sit in the car they clean, drive the tractor they unload, or send their kids to the school they helped build. These are hardly problems like cancer or climate change and things that our work at TeamLease can help solve. TeamLease's mission of Putting India to Work contributes significantly to the freedom of individuals. We are more than a company; we are a cause and draw inspiration from Gandhiji’ s call to become the change you seek. TeamLease - in the last 12 years – has grown our revenues by 2150 times (we closed our first year with 1 crore). We are now asking for you to grow our revenues by 5 times in the next 6 years i.e. Rs 10,000 crores by 2022. That year is important because it is the 75th year of India’s independence. And this goal is hardly unrealistic; we just need to grow at the same rate in the next 6 years that we have grown in the last 6. As we get ready to file for our Initial Public Offer (IPO), we must recognize that life will change as a listed company. Going public is an important part of our vision to create an institution but public markets require quarterly performance that is a child of relentless execution, accountability and innovation. What brought TeamLease to where it is unique, enviable, and courageous but what will take us to Rs 10,000 crores is not more cooks in the kitchen but a different recipe. It will not only require a different calibration of poetry and prose but for all of us to acquire new skills, raise our game and hold ourselves to higher standards. Staffing Operations: “Success is walking from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm.” In Q1 of 2015 this team crossed the 1 lac associates milestone and processed 100888 associates’ salaries, in comparison to 88510, same time last year. Above and beyond: This team squandered by 12% on meeting their target of paying associates on time. This productivity loss was due to various operational & technology constraints. In midst of the breakdown, this team who stood tall against all these adversities, displaying the true spirit of One Team- One Organization.

One of the most remarkable moments in the history of TeamLease happened on 15th July 2015 hearing two gentlemen who the world can't help noticing, listening to and most importantly believing each word they say. Yes its our Prime Minister - Mr Narendra Modi and our very own Mr Manish Sabharwal . The occasion was to celebrate the World Youth Skills Day at Vigyan Bhavan. In exactly 4 minutes and 30 seconds Manish managed to spell out India's skill agenda to a spell bound audience including the Prime Minister. What better testimony to the fact than the PM's frequent reference to Manish and his association with TeamLease over the years. I would urge you to pause and absorb what this means for each of us. India's two biggest priority right now is 1) A decent job for every Indian 2) Skill every Indian. Incidentally every conversation around Jobs and Skills in India begins with us - TeamLease and our action bias.

15 NETAP trainees, fresh graduates from south were hired for an Intensive 8 Week long training. This includes a 10-day boot camp (classroom theory and practical sessions) followed by a 2-week understudy module followed by a 4-week independent sourcer-recruiter module, this program would help these apprentices to hone the sills of a real world recruiter and be prepared to move into onsite recruiter roles in IT & Non – IT roles within the RPO model.

Information Technology

The vision of “Putting India to Work” and our endeavor to become a 10,000Cr company in the next 5 years has a large dependency on how we position ourselves technologically. We have been envisioning, how we can up the ante, and move our current platforms (ALCS, CLCS, RLCS, COMS, ADP… etc) onto public domains and have a larger reach – lesser effort positioning in the market. Over the past few months, we have been developing most of our current systems/ platforms for the next generation of our growth. We have been working to develop the mobility part of the puzzle, and are now at the last mile of the Job Seeker app (“TeamLease Job Connect”) for Android Users. Along with the TL Job Connect app, also in development are “TL Associate Connect” ( for our associates) and “TL Connect” (For our clients – Staffing, Sourcing and Partners). We hope to have the release of these Android apps in the coming months. Before the release, quite a few of our employees would be requested to participate as beta testers for us to assess the intuitiveness of the apps.

IT Services have been working hard to have ALCS 10.0 “The Next phase of Operations” go live. With the successful release of ALCS 10.0 we will take payroll processing to the next level, giving TL the edge over all competitors in the market! ALCS 10.0 will focus on reduced TAT for our clients, on the fly payroll processing and auto computation of salaries. We hope to release ALCS 10.0 soon, and will keep you all posted on the

developments.

Graduation Day Celebrations Share your sparkle wherever you are”- Dodinsky The months of July and August 2015 saw some new and exciting events for the employees of TeamLease. One such event that created a lot of buzz was the ‘Graduation Day Ceremony’ for the new hire training batches, Yes you read it right, even the professionals do need to graduate before they start working. For those who missed out on being a part of the ceremony, here’s a ring-side view of how the event unfolded. The trainees from batch CR NHT 25 and Ops NHT Batch 08 experienced a never before ceremony that felicitated the young achievers on completing their training and clearing the training assessments with flying colours. The show started with the trainer welcoming the guest of honour and the esteemed guests from the respective businesses who graced the occasion with their presence. The speeches from our business leads Sushobhan Baral, Rajesh Krishnan and Pradeep Kumar were not only enlightening but also encouraging for the newbies who were bubbling with enthusiasm and applauded vigorously The felicitation ceremony also saw 2 special award categories that recognized the top performer and the most promising performer of the batch which were ‘The Whiz Kid’ and ‘The Rockstar’ awards respectively. As we all know that no Graduation ceremony is complete without the Valedictorian speech, even we had one, but… in our cool way. The valedictorians orated wonderfully written speeches which emoted the sentiments of the group which mainly was of pride, raring-to-go attitude and gratitude. Finally, with the flipping of the hats in air and after numerous selfies and group photographs the ceremony was brought to a close followed by a snack party.

Learning Services has presence in 10 states with a network of 89 training and delivery centers. These centres act as the nodal centers for all mobilization, registration, assessments, skills training & employment activities under the Public private partnership initiative to drive employability and employment opportunities across the country for the youth of India. We have made our entry into North East by signing our 1st contract with Government of Assam. Learnings services have had their first successful tie up with a college in Ranchi and focus will be to increase this network to another 25 colleges and universities for this financial year to create the intersection of employability and employment contributing to the vision of TeamLease – Putting India to Work.

COMPANY UPDATE Start of Academic Session 2015 - 16

3rd of August’ 2015 marked the commencement of the academic session 2015-16 at TeamLease Skills University (TLSU) with a “Student Orientation Program” held at TLSU campus at Tarsali, Vadodara. This marks the beginning of an important phase in India’s first Skills University which currently offers 5 degree programs at the undergraduate level namely, B.Com, BBA, Mechatronics, IT-IMS and Hospitality & Tourism Management. The Student Orientation program was attended by a gathering of over 200 persons that included students, parents, guests, Heads of Department and staff of TLSU. The University has a good number of students from Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Surat, Rajkot, Anand, Bharuch, Lunawada, Ratlam, Mandsaur, Mumbai, Allahabad and even far-off Himachal Pradesh this year. Almost 40% of the students have come from outside Gujarat.

COMPANY UPDATE Start of Academic Session 2015 - 16

TLSU had undertaken an aggressive, School Connect Initiative through Aug’ 2014 to Jan’ 2015, conducting Student Counselling seminars at 156 schools whereat more than 10,000 students were counseled. TLSU had also offered scholarships for admission on merit based upon Aptitude Tests conducted across 51 schools. TLSU plans to work closely with business and industry to provide vital On-Job training to its students. Business and industry leaders shall play a vital role in course-curriculum design, guest lectures, on-job training programs, campus recruitment and placement at TLSU. The fact, that TeamLease Services already has a strong industry connect with more than 2,500 corporate clients across India gives the Skills University a distinct advantage. Leading industrialists who are members of the academic council at TLSU reckon this bodes well for the State of Gujarat and Vadodara, in particular. India traditionally, suffers from a huge skills gap. Clearly, the education system is not producing the right talent for the right jobs and this skills deficit needs to be addressed.

Interviewer : How did you first learn about TeamLease? Ajit : During my tenure in iGATE IMS Ltd. (Erstwhile IT&T Technology Services Ltd.) in Year 2002. Our services delivery team members had briefed me on TeamLease – i.e. for our cos’s. Hiring requirements, back then. Interviewer : Before working at TeamLease, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had? Ajit : I thoroughly enjoyed each of my stints in all my previous tenures with companies - DCM Shriram, Crompton Greaves, IT&T, iGATE. Particularly, I would like to mention IT&T, and it was phenomenal experience working with industry stalwarts like K. Ganesh, Karan Puri , Hemant Kohli, who were my seniors. Also , in iGATE where I had enjoyed working like an Intrapreneur, taking calculated risks & complete ownership to build teams, and contributing to the growth of SBU and subsidiary company. Before I joined TeamLease, my entrepreneurial stint of 3+ years at Knowbility Corp. was enriching and this venture experience

About Pankaj Rathod Pankaj started his career with TeamLease as Trainer in Mandvi –VKK, SYEEP project in July 2010 to today and currently he is Manager- Business Development in Learning Services. He has handled projects such as Aajeevika and GIDC at Ahmedabad and with the help of his team have signed up 8 ADC which is one of the first initiatives by TeamLease in the state of Gujrat. at work? Pankaj : When I had given my first presentation in March 2011 before State Head, Ajay Mishra, VP – Neeti Sharma and MD – Ashok Reddy in Bangalore for highest revenue generation and collection from SYEEP project as a Manager and got appreciated by them. The ELS team met at an exotic but highly spiritually

vibrant place called Zorba the Buddha at Delhi and

spent three days. The whole idea of the stay was to

get to know each other, work as a team, bonding

with each and every member and really look at our

fascinating experiences including hypnosis,

removing our fears and making us aware of the

potential we have. We have all returned with a
