as to what exact information is needed and if in any specific format.
• Enlist your questions in a numbered bullet list. This will help others to focus on one question at a time and provide precise answers and you can refer to item by a number.
• Be specific about deadline when you must have the answer.
• Be specific as to who is responsible for providing answer in case email is being sent to several people .
When assigning any work• When assigning any work be specific as to who is
responsible for carrying out the task. Do not leave ambiguity as far as possible.
• Be specific as to what exactly needs to be done. Do not assume that the next person will always understand what exactly is expected to be done.
• Be specific as to when exactly work must be complete.
When providing response• Provide response in a way that is easy to follow for all
recipients.
• Provide a response in a way that can be reused. Next person will really appreciate you when you send a response that need little editing if it needs to be forwarded to others.
• Provide information in a way so that next person does not have to spend lot of time understanding your response.
