1. Write down your motivation for becoming a Mompreneur. Consider:● What do you want to achieve by starting your own business?● Why this is the right time?● What is the cost to you emotionally/professionally/financially if you

NOW, LET’S ENVISION YOUR DREAM JOB!

2. Make a list of your past and present work-related tasks, expertise, and responsibilities.● Include everything from your most recent professional

experiences, as well as things like volunteering and babysitting as a teenager.

3. Make a list of your past and present educational experiences.● Include your formal education, as well as things like informal

trainings and workshops, and classes you took back in high

school.


Don’t get bogged down in a job title or whether you received a degree. Focus on what you did and what you learned. Don’t judge your lists, and don’t leave anything out!

TIP FROM FLESCHÉ:

4. Review your two lists from steps 2 & 3 and circle what you love.● See what emerges.

5. Intertwine the things you circled in step 4 to write a description of your dream job.● Optimize your interests and strengths.

6. Read your dream job description to yourself out loud. Consider:● How it sounds.● Whether you can see yourself in this role.


7. Share your dream job description with someone you respect and who

knows you well.● For example, a partner, spouse, friend, or business coach.

8. Call yourself a Consultant in your dream job role.● Own it!

TIP FROM FLESCHÉ:Take the time to sit with your dream job description

and allow yourself to modify it if needed.

This is the hardest part. Let yourself think outside

the box. Don’t judge your ideas, and don’t automatically assume anything isout of reach.


9. Write down what kind of business context would make your dream job

possible. Consider:● How much time you want to work.● How you want to spend your time.● How much money you want or need to earn.● How you want your role as a professional to fit with your role as a

mom.

10. Combine your motivations, dream job role, and business context to describe your ultimate business.● Does it make your heart beat faster?● Does it feel right to you?
