Project Backgroud

This Business Need Memorandum summarizes the main items of the foreseen SAP implementation in YUSHU during 2016-2017, a project named Kylin (In ancient Chinese mythology, the Kylin is one of the "Four Divine Creatures", it was regarded as a celestial animal, a benevolent animal and a symbol of auspiciousness).

<Scala> was in the early 2000’s the de-facto DSM standard for ERP systems in China. The Scala system has evolved over time and in early 2013 I-Scala has been implemented. However, the system is getting outdated and no longer fit to support professionally further growth in BU CHINA. Also, the support is getting diminished, both by DSM ICT and by the software vendor.

The DSP IT strategy is to implement SAP on all its units. BU China took a big step with ZIBO SAP implementation project and it is now ready for next challenge by doing it so, in Yushu site, in order to extend the gaining benefits of standardized processes in SAP in the whole BU China. Preparation activities that are typical for PMP phase 1 and 2 have been executed

The project approach is to implement the standard DSP business process and basically not deviate from these. After Cuju project in ZIBO, most of the local fiscal/legal Chinese requirements are already in place, so no more changes are expected at country specific (no-nonsense approach!). This will ensure timely delivery, right first time and within budget.

However, the system is getting outdated and no longer fit to support professionally further growth in BU CHINA. Also, the support is getting diminished, both by DSM ICT and by the software vendor.

The DSP IT strategy is to implement SAP on all its units. This option has been investigated and seen feasible for BU CHINA. Preparation activities that are typical for PMP phase 1 and 2 have been executed.

There is a clear commitment by BU CHINA management as well as by Key and End users to implement SAP as a major step forward towards business process improvement.

Meanwhile, BU CHINA management has nominated an entire project team, IT organization is fully in preparation and supplier, Atos has committed itself to a clear offer for supporting the SAP implementation.

The project approach is to implement the standard DSP business process and basically not deviate from these unless local fiscal/legal Chinese requirements so dictate (no-nonsense approach!). This will ensure timely delivery, right first time and within budget.

The objective is to implement the standard DSP business processes embedded in the DSP SAP system in such a way that the current ERP system SCALA of DSP Zibo is replaced.

The project is from Turkey to implement branch compnay locating Changzhou .there are two key phases for the project. at the begin the headquater decides to separate the china sap sytem from the headquater, but after the Business blue print signed , the decision changed that Chiese sap system runs in the existing sap headquater system ,the decisiiont makes the project to be a roll out project. Some of the Knowledge transfer actions are processed .The customer internal SAP team come to china to do two week’s KT and provide subsequent supports.
