DESCRIPTION
Collaborations among business, education, government and economic agencies are vital to the development of workforce skills and economic opportunities. A keycomponent to effective and successful partnerships is the establishment of business, education and workforce collaboration. The goal of this workshop is to highlight how business, CVS, CIANBRO Corporation and NSTAR, in coordination with Bunker Hill Community College and Utility Workers Union of America, AFL-CIO, has embraced multiple pathways to education and employment foryoung adults within their local communities. An important component of the success of these business models includes effective communication across all players to deliver a unified employer outreach and engagement strategy, one that proves to be a win/win for all.
