How is the Sailor’s voice being heard? Some examples …
“A Day in the Life of Sailors” – 13 APR 2010● Full-day user-focused event across MPTE business
● Findings are getting attention of Provider Enterprise
● Feedback being considered for engineering changeproposals as appropriate
Ongoing Assessment of Applications at Sea● CMS/ID, Navy eLearning, ETJ, NIAPS
Fleet Training Management and Planning System(FLTMPS) Afloat
● Driven by Fleet specifications; reports useful to NCs
● Testing in progress; anticipated release by 2011
NCA Symposium Q&A● Pre/Post-Symposium solicitation and distribution
● SSC LANT hosted BUPERS 33/32 for IT changes

Where do we go from here?
Technical team members are here to answer your questions● Visit the PMW 240 and OPNAV N16 FIT exhibit table
● Access to CMS/ID, NSIPS/ESR, NTMPS, and FLTMPS at the exhibit
Tell us what’s working and what’s not● User Feedback Survey for Navy Career Tools
● Technical team members will take your input
Contact the Sea Warrior Program directly● MCCS Maria Escamilla, PAO

We will continue to verify and validate Navy career tools in the Fleet environment to ensure they meet CNP’s goal.
Surface Warfare Enterprise (SWE) requested assessments of personnel, training, and education applications in the afloat environment. Examples: FLTMPS Afloat and Navy eLearning to be assessed in FY09, Personnel systems in FY10.
We will continue to partner with PMW 240 and the Fleet to deliver career tools meeting the needs of you and your Sailors.

Assessment Discoveries and Results
Discoveries Internet – Tested applications performed well, but access can be limited
by CAC requirement and issues.
NIAPS/NSIPS afloat – Applications are not used consistently. Tested applications did not perform consistently in the afloat environment.
Significant issues exist regarding lack of communication, training and documentation.
Results Rigorous assessments exposed barriers and issues preventing access
to applications and/or limiting application functionality.
SMEs from NPC, NETC, and PMW 240 (Sea Warrior Program) work in partnership with the Fleet to resolve problems.
New user aids developed to support the “essential” Career Tools and stakeholders (Sailor, CCC, TRAINO and CO/XO).
