Mafia members in July 2012

• There were 242 responses and the

feedback was extremely positive



• The forum discussion that resulted from the questionnaire also provided some important feedback and insights, here's a sample of some of the many comments

− Loving the idea! I’ll do the survey now!

− Excellent idea and reflective of "Together we are Stronger“

− Feedback sounds a very good idea if it is balanced. But "I got X for price Y" isn't what I'm looking for though. Trip Advisor is a good model....with both good and bad reviews.

− Would rather use professional purchasing staff...rather than somebody who can just get a cheaper price ..... for B2B contracts it is the specification that needs to be understood and communicated ..rather than .. How much ' ??

− Great idea . Did the survey about 2 seconds after seeing this post. Make sure you do it !

filtering using the % usage figures they gave the total spend through the consortium with the survey respondents is £97m, which is a usage level of 46% overall

o Also be interested in whether any of organisations on the consortium are Social Enterprises.....as well as

saving money also hits CSR button for Social Good etc..... so win win for me!

o Annual purchasing spend is a guesstimate !

o As always, the response depends upon price and service. If they are not there, then I will not use such a

consortium

o As this is my 'space', I'd like to offer to see what I can 'give back to Yorkshire and the Mafia', by giving

some of my time and expertise at no charge - obviously needs defining better, but there you have it, in

principle!

o Be interested in how the contracts would be monitored and evaluated, what KPIs would be set etc; also

if rebates are negotiated how these might be shared? Would there be a fee for joining the consortium

and if so how would this be structured; for example, on spend level or other?

o You didn't list my industry, I provide pet care services such as boarding, dog walking and pet sitting, so I

chose the only related category - veterinary
