WHAT IS THE SHARING ECONOMY?

The Sharing Economy enables private people to share anything they own through technology, let it be products, knowledge or services, with other private people around them. Users are usually remunerated through a reward, swap, money or a digital currency creating a platform for micro-entrepreneurs in a local peer economy. The sharing economy is disrupting every industry, from hospitality, to mobility or gastronomy. It is a gamechanging mental shift from a society focused on consumption to a society valuing access more than ownership.
