Women in Law Empowerment Forum:

About the Programs

Suzzanne Uhland, partner with O’Melveny & Myers, LLP, was recently named

to the Women in Law Empowerment Forum’s (WILEF) National Advisory

Board. As part of the National Advisory Board, Suzzanne Uhland’s job is to

ensure all WILEF programs are effective and well implemented.

WILEF is an educational gathering for women in both corporate law and

individual law firms devoted to promoting women as leaders in the field of law.

Below are profiles of three of WILEF’s most important programs.

Young Lawyers Program

The Young Lawyers program at WILEF exists to make recommendations for certain programs that will help accelerate a participant’s career as a female in law. A committee meets periodically to discuss these recommendations, how they can be implemented, and how they can be the most successful programs possible.

Mentoring Program

The Mentoring Program at WILEF will begin in 2014 as a way for visitors to WILEF’s

website to learn more about the organization and its members. Selected mentors will

be available via the WILEF website to give advice to visitors of the site.

Leadership Coaching Program

The Leadership Coaching Program provides a coach available to hire, who is selected by WILEF, and and who will advise and counsel women on how best to rise up in the ranks at their respective firms.
