Grapeseed oil is great for dressings and dippings, but it’s

absolutely unbeatable for sautéing or frying, because it

can be heated to a higher temperature than other

oils without burning. The higher the heat, the

faster the cooking time – so meats stay juicier

and vegetables retain more nutritional value.

And the oil itself has some terrific health benefits.

Grapeseed oil is low in saturated fat, even lower

than olive oil. It’s high in antioxidants,Vitamin E and

Omega 6. It has no cholesterol. There are even

studies showing that it helps raise HDL (good cho-

lesterol) and lower LDL (bad cholesterol) and may

have other health benefits, like lowering blood pressure.

You may already know that olive oil is more heart-healthy

than other oils. Grapeseed oil is even better.

• 1/2 lb linguine or other pasta• 1 lb fresh or frozen and thawed uncooked shrimp• 4 tsp Wildtree Natural or Garlic Grapeseed Oil• 21/2 tsp Wildtree Scampi Blend• Dry white wine (optional)

Shell, clean and de-vein shrimp. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain pastareserving 1/4 cup water.

Mix 2 tsp oil and 11/2 tsp Scampi Blend in a coldskillet. Add shrimp and bring to medium – highheat. Cook shrimp until pink, turning often.Remove shrimp with a slotted spoon and add the remaining 2 tsp of oil and 1 tsp Scampi Blendto the pan juices.

Reduce heat to low, add cooked pasta and tosslightly until juices are absorbed. If pasta appearsdry, add reserved water or dry wine if desired.

Combine shrimp with pasta and serve.

Combine the Lemon Rosemary Blend and theNatural Grapeseed Oil in a small bowl and mixwell. Gently lift the skin of the chicken and rub the herb mixture underneath the skin, coatingthe meat. Place half the lemon slices under theskin and the remaining slices inside the chickencavity.

Bake the potatoes at 400 degrees for 45 minutes. Cut the potatoes lengthwise into halves.Scoop the pulp from the potatoes into a bowl,reserving the shells. Add the butter and desiredamount of milk to the pulp and mash. Add theGarlic & Herb Blend and mix well. Spoon themixture into the reserved shells and sprinklewith the cheese. Arrange on a baking sheet.

I N T H E B E G I N N I N G . . .

I didn’t know I’d be starting a company.

All I wanted was to make dinner.

My kids had dietary restrictions, so opening

a box of macaroni and cheese was not an

option. I needed to create meals that were

nutritious, delicious, unprocessed, and easy

to prepare. Mostly, I wanted to make dinners

my family would love.

Magnificent, healthful meals in minutes. Is that

too much to ask?

Back then, it was. So my parents pitched in

and we all started experimenting with herbs

and spices. We put some interesting combina-

tions together for pizza, pasta, roast chicken,

barbeque…storing them in recipe-size bags

made prep time incredibly fast. My neighbors

wanted some. My friends wanted some. We

started bringing our culinary blends to local

fairs. And then somebody said, how about

selling them at home parties?

We did. And it did.
