In the 2008 we celebrated over 50 years of activity…

The history of WEGH GROUP began in 1958 with the birth of “Niccoli e Naldoni” an established enterprise in the Italian railway sector both in Signalling and Rolling Stock.

To this main sector, various companies have then been added, each of them with a specificknow-how BIMA: company active in prefab plants planning and manufacturing SICI Impianti: company in the field of concrete sleepers plants and precast ;TECNO DEVICE: company active in signalling systems planning and manufacturingLES Elettronica: company in research and planning of highly reliable electronic apparatuses ;IPA: company with an important know-how as manufacturer of precast elements for railway sector.

Today it is possible to find all these excellences combined in WEGH GROUP, which achieves the synergies to obtain products always more and more groundbreaking and up to date .

Components and equipment for Signalling In switch point machine “MET TD03”

MET TD 03 is a machine for simple point switches, 60E1 (UIC60) track, viable up to 300 Km/h with relocated path, which, through appropriate changes, can be also used on point switches of different track and gauge.

It is usable on point switches with single drive point and has identical dimensions of a standard crossing timber in order to allow the packing of sleepers with automatic machines.

It is laid in exchange of the first headstock of point switches.

Driver's indication signal road side

The colour-light signal is a device used in driver's indication signals .

It signals the level crossing bars to the car drivers through red light emission when they are closed or in the process of closing. The unit of light is made up of a led matrix.

It can be supplied both with 95Vcc supply or with 12Vcc supply.

Our Long Line Plant

In-line cycle where the moulds are in gangs of eight and the pre-stress against abutments into foundations.

A complete set of machine to accomplish with all the various phases of the production process.

Page 37: WEGH Group 2010

Our Long Line Plant

High productivity and efficiency , the Long Line system can be applied to any type of fastening: Pandrol, Vossloh, Stedef, D.E. Clips, Denik, KB, etc.

Moulds designed to allow changing of the necessary type of fastening by replacing the plates being screwed onto the structure of the mould.

Page 38: WEGH Group 2010

Our Long Line Plant

The adherent wire or strand system represents considerable savings in sleeper production, being standard product easily available on the market and avoiding any need of specifically processing.

Page 39: WEGH Group 2010

Our Turnout Plant

Simplicity and efficiency : the WEGH GROUP turnout concrete bearers line are available in self-resistant solution (the mould frame support the pre-stressing force) and therefore with no need of foundations, as well as in traditional system with stressing and relaxation anchor post.

Page 40: WEGH Group 2010

Our Turnout Plant

Lines are designed to guaranty a fast and easy replacement on bottoms and casting separators during the phase of changing of product typology. All the production process is fully assisted by machines .

Page 41: WEGH Group 2010

Our Carousel Plant

A closed cycle where the moulds are in gangs of four each of which stressed against the mould structure.

These move around the production line to various stations where individual operations are carried out before moving on to the next station.

Page 42: WEGH Group 2010

Our Carousel Plant

Various pre-stressing systems available:

pre-stressing system by smooth pre-stressing wires button-headed to the end anchor plates

pre-stressing system by indented wires

post –tensioned system by sheathed and threaded steel wires with end anchor steel plates

Page 43: WEGH Group 2010

Controlled curing system:

A controlled cycle into insulated curing chambers

climate maintaining the ideal conditions for the

curing process, including water spry nozzles to

assure the proper moisture.
