• Services - seafood, dairy products, apples, cattle, wheat, potatoes, nursery stock.

• Industries - aerospace, software development, food processing, paper products, lumber and wood products, chemical products, and tourism

 

State Nickname

• the state nickname is the evergreen state• named this because of all the evergreen forests in the state

     

Climate

• Washington has to distinct climate zone                 • weather in Washington is different from east to west• the oceanic climate is in the west• semi-arid climate covers the east • a lot of rain occurs during fall months

Travel • There is many outdoor attractions throughout the state

many of which are famous world wide.     • One of which is Lake Chelan

o Located at the North Cascade Mountains, Lake Chelan has endless activities.

o From fishing, boating, to skiing and sledding during the winter, Lake Chelan has something for every one.
