MONITOR HEALTH AND WELLNESS

• Implement Health monitoring and Wellness programs to identify and treat potential health risks (weight mgmt, smoking cessation, cholesterol monitoring etc.)

• Educate on risk of fatique and prevention; provide diagnostic testing to identify symptoms (Vitamin and Mineral Deficiency)

• Integrate with IH and Safety on Workplace Exposures and Safety Hazards


TRAINING, EDUCATION AND EVALUATION

• Provide and track involvement in training for Health Education courses, online and in person to assess lifestyle and health implications

• Provide online questionnaires for self assessment to measure who may need to be engaged in wellness programs

• Work assessments including ergonomics to reduce work stress


CASE MANAGEMENT

• When injuries do occur track Injury details in a manner that is integrated with Safety for Root Cause Analysis and Prevention of future Incidents – create an Action plan.

• Track Absenteeism – compare to disability guidelines for targets to benchmark and return workers to work safely and quickly

• Use reporting tools to identify trends


CASE STUDY - WORKER FATIGUE

Fatigue was affecting personnel performance and was leading to more near misses, injuries, loss work days, etc.
