CHANGE YOUR

THINKING!

We don’t use the Aquarium mentality

YOU NEED A

PARADIGM SHIFT

2 Tim 2:15• Favour doesn’t come in you having a job, it

comes in you providing a solution.

• Many of us need to move away from the mentality of getting a job to a mentality of providing a solution.

Favour or Labour Market?

Who is a Productive Professional?

• Being a Productive Professional isn’t just about your age, when you graduated, your qualifications or how many professional bodies you belong to.

• It has everything to do with what you have to offer- having an edge over others

Being an expert, skilful and competent to Provide or create something, results,

solutions to a problem

So ask yourself

Have I prepared myself enough to prove to the world that I am competent to solve a problem with ALL my qualifications?

How can I make this shift to being a productive professional?

1. Network with people of value – Ruth 1:16; Dan 8:1

– Enjoy meeting people and reading books, you never know who/what will help your career.

– Place a value on your relationships, what cannot increase you, will decrease you.

– Re-evaluate and rebuild relationships

– Focus on the future of every network

2. Approach life differently – 1 Kings 3

–Plan your life ahead

–Be forward thinking in your decisions

–Be solution oriented, Don’t wait for a job, start looking for solutions to provide

–Think in terms of the value you are offering - Judge yourself by the results you produce, not how busy you have been

3. Be known for Something – Exo. 35:14

–Don’t be everywhere at the same time

–When God has committed something into your hand, stay with it until it works

–Strive for skill mastery

4. Always step out and confront your fears – Esth 4:14

–Nothing works until you decide to try

–Don’t wait for something to happen, make it happen

–Never ever give up on what you believe in

5. Learn to work for free

–Never allow money to drive you

– If no one wants to pay for your experience, offer it for free.

Why you need to consider being on your own

Never say you don’t have ideas. We all have, you probably have not worked for one
