Construction and applications of Stranded wires

Stranded copper wires can be laid in multiple rope-like bands or individual strands composed of soft drawn copper wires coated with tin. Each rope strand is made up of fine threads of copper laid like woollen spool. Stranded copper may be available in bare copper or in insulated wire.

Stranded copper spools have resistance against abrasion and offer insulation against chemical properties and flames. They have a high temperature rating between 225 degrees centigrade to 227 degrees centigrade. The construction ensures maximum conductivity and fine flexibility.
