MY PRESENTATION TOPIC IS;

Sand Blasting Process of Garments Washing.

SAND BLASTING: This is the process that also applied for

removing the color and it is done at the dry condition of the garments.

This process is done by air flow gun with the help of sand.

The high pressure sand is applied on the specific area of the garments and eventually the color will reduce.

A PROCESS OF SAND BLASTING ON DENIM/CANVAS/TWILL GARMENTS :

 Aluminum oxide (Al2O3) is used for Sand Blasting which is looks like sand.

These aluminum oxides are very fine & very hard/sharp.

These aluminum oxides through by gun with dry air to perform sand blasting action.

The gun has a switch to start and stop the flow of aluminum oxides.

A PROCESS OF SAND BLASTING ON DENIM/CANVAS/TWILL GARMENTS:

The flow of aluminum oxide on fabric surface is done at 10-20° angles.

The blowing angle is very important. The operators should have protective standard

musk, helmet, gloves, ear plug and uniform. Production/hour/gun varies from 25-50 pcs

garments depend on the area, extent of fading.

After mechanical fading, chemical treatments are required for the buyer’s requirement. 

METHOD OF SAND BLASTING:

1.Sand Blasting,2.Machine Sanding,3.Hand sanding or hand brushing

1.Sand Blasting: Sand blasting technique is based on blasting an abrasive material (Most of time sand) in granular, powdered or other form through a nozzle at very high speed and pressure on to specific areas of the garments surface to be treated to give the desired abraded look or used look.

2. Machine Sanding: In this technique, a series of cylindrical rolls in a horizontal arrangement, either wrapped with an abrasive paper or chemically coated with an abrasive.

3. Hand Sanding Or Hand Brushing: In this technique, sand paper is used to abrade surface of the denim garments Varieties of looks and designs can be produced by using hand sanding or hand brushing technique.

THE ADVANTAGES OF SANDBLASTING :

Easy process: The process of Sand blasting is quite easy. You do require to a hire a professional since you don’t know the precautions to be taken.

Less machinery: This process just requires a compressor, a blasting pot and a nozzle.

Wide applications: There are lots of applications of sand blasting in every area.

Perfect cleaning: This process can be used for every material for the purpose of cleaning.

DISADVANTAGES OF SANDBLASTING :

Air-borne diseases: Because of the use of sand, the process is responsible for causing lung diseases like silicosis.

Ventilation: The process of sand blasting should be done in a ventilated area to prevent chocking.

Harm to naked skin: This process should not be performed in naked skin as the particles like tiny steel balls, glass powder etc. which are projected with high velocity can penetrate into your naked skin.
