Developers Go Their Own Way

17

•  Developers have long held a command position in deciding the tools IT adopts. •  39.6% of decision makers see IT as

the chief providers or procurers of mobile capabilities.

•  But of developer responses averaged across the same array, a mere 17.9% report actually using these tools.

•  The obvious culprit is self-sourcing. •  Only 19.8% of decision makers say

developers are finding their own tools.

•  This would come as news to most developers, who by more than double that percentage (44.9%) report acquiring their own mobile tools.
